that is basically Plaid, in a nutshell, imho :)

a good driving beat or melody or something catchy, seemingly simple... but loads going on underneath. loads of layers and little interesting intricacies and sounds.

a bit like Humans.

Plaid is Human music for Humans, even though made with machines. :)

well if that's true and Plaid music is like humans, i prefer these two tracks to be females

cause i dont wanna be imagining myself enjoying some hairy male being(human) you know... and yes, tender hooks is definitely female! :) listen close she even goes up and down, "periodically", sounds unpredictable but in fact is quite guessable, you hear it, yes?

 

in any case i so much enjoy listening to these lately, be it im driving, preparing for a nap or even doing housework! i gotta get married to these two, both of them! :P

you described it well Sirch, Plaid is human music for humans, done with machines. and i il try to make so, too, using my fax machine, lets see what i ll come up with! :P

 

edit: it didnt work.. what i produced sounded more like Atom tm, not like Plaid! :(
