Reminds me a lot of FaltyDL with the minimal bassy production & repetitive pitch-shifted female vocal sample. Sounds kinda rough around the edges & maybe a bit undeveloped but I like the ominous atmosphere.

I like what you're going for and I like what you're doing with the vocal - BUT, you should definitely use it more sparsely than what you're doing now because the vocal is all over the track which makes it a bit tiresome after a while. Actually, it's never not there. If you remove it and bring it back systematically then you can use it as either a break element, a peak element or whatever. Which brings me to the build-up. Don't be afraid to be more aggressive when it comes to removing elements and bringing them back because this track could definitely use that.

I think the track needs a deep bassline because right now there are no low levels at all. Also, the melody is very repetitive and very robotic. See if you can make it a bit more lively.

Has the hi-hat sample been either time stretched or time compressed? The reason why I ask is that it sounds like it's doing some weird things every now and then as if it almost stumbles over its own legs which is usually due to time stretching or compressing.

wow, so much to work on. Thanks, Squee. i added very little effect to the hi hats so not sure why it's doing that.

i agree with squee on the vocals. they get really annoying after a bit and spoil a really cool song.

>that feel when i'm never going to make such a thing like that

Thanks : )

If i had to say anything I'd say maybe work on the compression or EQ on the hi hat - though I am by no means in a proper monitoring environment right now. I quite enjoyed this track, with some tweaking it will be even better

it definitely feels tighter and altogether more focused in this form. that middle part where the off sounding vocals kind of take over is damned nice, really gives the track a key moment to grab onto, for me at least.

i'm relieved, thanks

though i still think i could work the drums a bit and soften some more stuff out like the volume of the vocals and whatever but yeah, so far i'm satisfied with it
