squarepusher Squarepusher is the worst musician any sane person could ever listen to 1 2 3 4 6

Some jerk just posted a squarepusher track on facebook and I listened like half of it and it reminded me how horrible squarepusher actually is. It's like even if you try to make horrible music you will never make anything as bad as squarepusher, no fucking way. Even venetian snares is better, even when you know how he looks. FUUUUUUU.

- bit of info on each track on HE: Tracks will stand out for me for reasons to do with what occurred during their construction as much as their musical content. In addition to that, as I intend to make comparison difficult through introducing a lot of variation between the pieces, it is hard for me to say which I prefer. Here are the first things that spring to mind:- "Hello Meow" - uses the same xylophone as "Iambic 5 Poetry". "Theme from Sprite" - first track on which I used my new home made spring reverb. "Bubble Life" - last track I made using my customized space echo before it blew up. "Planetarium" - might be my favourite. "Vacuum Garden" - first track I made …

Hi all. First post on the forum. I recorded an interview with Tom Jenkinson for the jazz show I host on Radio Active, an independent radio station in Wellington, New Zealand. You can listen in live at GMT+12 11am this coming Sunday (Star Wars Day) by streaming on www.radioactive.fm or your favourite radio streaming app (it's definitely on TuneIn). I will pop back with a link to stream on mixcloud after the show and pass on 320Kbps mp3s of the interview to the moderator of Squarepusher downloads after Sunday.

I loved this album when it came out having heard much of its material for the first time at the Bang Face closer set. For some reason it got knocked off my radar and just last week I listened to the whole thing in work (on headphones, mind). It is a masterpiece. Change takes time to embrace and the albums (by anyone) which have become my favourites have grown into their position in my ranking. This is certainly one of those. If you are reading this, stop what you are doing and listen to this album again right now. You'll thank yourself in the long run.

After several years in the darkness, breakcore figurehead and bass guitar virtuoso Squarepusher returns to the limelight, pulling along with him four new tracks to bless the eardrums of the common folk, as well as two new remixes, courtesy of prolific mashcore artist Shitmat, and the iconic Aphex Twin 1. wifi 2. wifi (aphex twin remix) 3. benny 4. benny (shitmat remix) 5. come on my selector (dubstep remix) 6. junglist http://squarepusher.bandcamp.com £1000 Looks like fake but who knows with all that Caustic Window's LP obsession...

Our underwater torch, any love?

Any love for the underwater torch? I must say while the Ae rmx on that disc was rather shite, the title track was amongst the best stuff TJ ever did. Great mood. Love it. Even though its atypical and I usually prefer Go Plastic style.

I just downloaded the leak (and I'll give you my $20 come release day, Mr. Jenkinson) and the first track "Hello Meow" reminded me of fucking Mega Man (Around MM3 and MM5). Though the entire album sounded like a soundtrack to an old school video game, but teh first track definietly sounded like it came from Mega Man. Capcom should hire him. aF

On this tour Squarepusher seemed to have kept refining the encore part and it really got fucking amazing by the end as judging by the Bristol gig which I ripped off youtube and put up here...i mean its choc--o-bloc with unreleased excellence that needs some props.... http://www.mixcloud.com/keyfumbler/squarepusher-encore-section-thekla-bristol-2013/

For me, The Tuss doesn't fit neatly with the rest of RDJ's stuff, there's something different about it. Could Tom be in the band? A number of the basslines sound like they could be Mr. J, but maybe it's just my brain damage. What are your thoughts, WATMM?
