  1. Awesome! My question is: have you guys given any thought to what might be new or interesting formats in which to release stuff? Obviously 24-bit Bleep seems to have a foothold now (at least for Ae releases), and Gescom MD and generative software were experiments in the past—now (2013) seems like it might be the time for either a solid shift to something more “audiophile” (whatever that means) or something more “software” too (like a streaming or generative or interactive website or something). Just curious if anything like that might be brewing since you’ve toyed with formats in the past.

    Wisp Tracks

    Take my money! This.
  3. Brilliant. A lot of those answers sound like they were Google Translated in two directions to garble them up. Either that or that is some painstaking by-hand garbling. Or is this a quasi-dBlue Glitch argument?
  4. YAY posting in thread to remind myself to freq out later
  5. I've been enjoying it myself. About on par with Dedication for me. But in iTunes I've split it up into two "albums" so I only listen to a disc at a time.
  6. Collapse of the Wave Function. What are the three things north, north-east, and east of Rephlexions?
  7. What bonervan and everyone else said. The funny thing about Prefuse is I can't personally point to a specific reason why his newer stuff leaves me cold. Usually it's pretty easy for me to decide why I like or do not like a certain album, but in this case, I wouldn't even say he's changed his sound all THAT much. It's just… the early stuff killed it, and recently it's just… not as good. Mysteriously so.
  8. I like him. Planning on purchasing this today after work. I thought the last one was QG and have great memories of slammin it in my car whilst eating french fries ("chips")
  9. Hahaha, I dunno—I think this thread has gotten pretty funny now.
  10. Hmm, I've thought about it, and I've decided to be excited for this album. The last one was enjoyable imo.
  11. I just got mine today, from Amazon.usa
  12. Huh. I could have sworn there was an interview or something around the time of this release where WV said that they specifically didn't remaster the tracks because they weren't supposed to be "clean" or brighter sounding. Or something like that. My b for misremembering, y'all.
  13. Far as I know, Nah und Fern was not remastered. It’s just a repress with repackaging.
  14. Well said. I think W. Voigt has also spoken about this to a certain extent. And actually if I recall it was one of the things Kraftwerk themselves considered important.
  15. Sorry if jazz. Unofficial video by that dude who makes all the amazing mnml videos on YouTube
  16. A Spanish guy who's 22 and who turned down an offer to sign with Planet Mu. For some hilarious reason I can't remember. Was it because he didn't own a CD burner or something? lols occurred EDIT: I still want to know who the ascii penis guy was though
  17. I still love this thread. Also, I agree with Awep. And not just because he owns a Kyma or whatever. Something about Iyff Acid sounds “expensive”. The mix of it. Shit, this just made me listen to Untitled 9 again too. Damn, that track has kind of an unfinished vibe to it, but it’s great. Seriously, let’s get some more Steinvord released. What do we have to do?
  18. Great thread. No idea where to start with this stuff, but I think I do need that F. Hecker album and I did listen to Satanstornade today—must do so more. Great music to work or ride the bus to. Qual.
  19. psst… there’s an Exai track (“spl9”) in this month’s FailCast. I haven’t listened yet. Keep this one on the down-low, y’all
