  2. Found this book recently and I think it looks interesting enough to warrant a mention on this thread. Also, for my own personal music projects, I have been inspired by the River Thames which flows nearby. Field recordings, place names and curiosities along its path. Have been dipping into local Oxfordshire folklore a tad, and when my upcoming album eventually surfaces, it will be themed around such things as The Blowing Stone, Waylands Smithy and Wychwood Forest. Fun times.
  3. Great album, reviewed in my latest snare rush zine nontheless! Unsettling music. The digital bonus track via bandcamp is also worth a listen. Not always convinced by the Old Captain output, some of it is really intriguing noise, drone, sound art and experimental . Other times it's the really militant industrial / power electronics with war imagery and violence that honestly does nothing for me.
  4. Well the box says 2+ that's why we got it. The mechanics feel more suited to 3+ but I imagine it's still crazy hard
  5. We have it, have only played 2 player with the missus and found it a bit clumsy. Probably way better with 3-4 players. Need friends. Still hit carcassonne sometimes
  6. In terms of graphic novels, I recommend Wytches and Injection
  7. I want a new autechre album that is fully generative and personalised. You pay for the digital files and they are generated in realtime based on your preferences / psychology test results and where you sit on the autism spectrum.
  8. So I shelled out for a Neutron, I love the sound it makes. I however do not like the colour scheme... so I found a .dxf file online for the cover plate, cleaned it up a bit, and plasma cut my own from sheet steel. Noticed I missed off the rectangular push button cut-outs so I need to sort those out. Also, second up far left patch point looks out of place. Will go for version 2 I think. Not bad for a first try. Some of the small holes need filing out. Can't decide whether to go rusty or leave it shiny and "burnt" looking. Will hand paint on the labels before spraying with a clear matt lacquer. Hopefully will look sweet / rustic
  9. Vinyl as a stretch goal sounds regit, also then paying for someone to pro-master it all (CD and vinyl) Stretch goal of getting TDR to provide artwork ??? 2xCD pack would be ace. I don't make IDM music but I could try and produce something suitable for the voting rounds - maybe a synthy drone or a drum workout. Im guessing there would be criteria on length / genre etc...
  10. Do they actually have a public bus service to any of these awesome stops though. Imagine waiting 4 weeks for a bus in a remote part of Siberia....
  11. This is a great mix. Presumably its all new squarepusher tunes?
  12. Cheers Shane Cheers Rodney
  13. Really sad about this, I was definitely more of a Cassius fan than a Daft Punk fan. New album is out on Friday called "Dreams" which I had on pre-order. Hope he was not celebrating ? I read he had a hand in the recent Hot Chip album too, seems he was rather prolific in the studio production side of things. CASSIUS IN THE HOUSE
  14. I think we're gonna need a bigger coat

  15. Yes, a proper purple patch. Can't wait for this box set!
  16. Watching Ben Affleck in the accountant last night and actually quite enjoyed it. Asgerger hit man nerd is good
  17. I made a droney / ambient ish thing, completely different to my noise output! I was experimenting with the volca kick, if you turn the tempo right down to 10bpm and sustain the keys, you can create lush looping drones. Quite happy with how this turned out. It was recorded live in response to the storms we have been having - see the photo!
  18. I always enjoyed Graham Coxon's contributions to Blur (Coffee & TV / Freakin' Out etc)
  19. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-48386470 BBC journalist with sense of humour in article title lol
  20. Trilate Shift is a banger. This is a surprise release for sure - wasn't expecting anything else from him for a while so happy news.
  21. Just started watching Thirteen, a BBC crime thing about an abducted girl who escapes after 13 years living in a cellar. Or so it seems!
