so i am the guy who always shows up in those "which album should i start with?" threads saying the order doesn't matter, but now i am the one asking for opinion, because it might be important. i have heard nothing but positive things about venetian snares but i only have Higgins ultra low track glue funk hits and Hospitaliy which i never listened to and watched a couple of vids on youtube that sounded cool, but never really went back to it.

throw some suggestions...

Huge Chrome Cylinder Box Unfolding and Rossz Csillag Allat Szuletett are the two albums of his that you REALLY need, the rest gets a bit samey I find.

what moods and sounds are you looking for?

i am not really looking for anything. but if there is a good musician that i am constantly hearing great things about, i usually end up exploring it's discog. it's just that i am not sure about venetian because i don't like breakcore, it's kinda unbalanced for me.

but i am into IDM, pretty much everything and every mood.

Huge Chrome Cylinder, Rossz, and I'd also add Detrimentalist. Detrimentalist is the least consistent of the bunch, but it has some awesome standout tracks, the first 3 and the final track in particular. I go back and forth for top album but I'd have to choose Chrome Cylinder. That album is a must have beast. It's more sonically harsh.. and obviously, "chrome" sounding [think draft 7.30] but Aaron's most unique release, where he doesn't rely on his go-to conventions as much (songs based around vocal sample, etc)

draft 7.30?!

i am excited now. gonna try Rossz Csillag Allat Szuletett and Huge Chrome Cylinder.

Cavalcade of Glee.. also has some excellent tracks. Filth is also pretty interesting, and truly worthy of title, very dirty synths on that one. I'd reccomend those two before Detrimentalist, as Detrimentalist was kinda just Aaron making a slightly rave friendly breakcore album.

I like the Horsey Noises EP in addition to what others have said, particularly the track Horsey Vag Island.

dont start anywhere. he sucks. :trashbear:

LOL.

having seen a couple of these threads for him i'm constantly hearing what you hear here.

Rossz Csillag Allat Szuletett

Huge Chrome Cylinder Box Unfolding

The Chocolate Wheelchair Album [which is actually s/t or untitled i think]

i've only got Huge Chrome Cylinder Box Unfolding and that's probably the most IDM, but i hate Doll Doll Doll. that's breakcore trash.

always wanted to hear A Giant Alien Force More Violent & Sick Than Anything You Can Imagine, but it's so hard to get for a good price.

all that said Winnipeg is a Frozen Shithole is a barrage of bitter hometown hatred, which i can relate to. very pure in its pestilence. recommended.

For me, Detrimentalist is his MOST consistently quality album.

I think my favorite album though is Songs About My Cats... it's his RDJ album in my opinion - it takes you to an unexpected, bizarre, beautiful world.

I was most blown away by huge chrome cylinder box unfolding, chocolate wheelchair album, winnipeg is afrozen shithole, and rossz. Some of his EPs are really good too, tracks I would more likely show friends or dj, like infolepsy EP, moonglow. Awesome tracks.
