^no idea what that picture is, but I just realized how spoiled people were in the 90s by his release frequency. Just thinking about it ... SAW2, I Care Because You Do, RDJ Album - each represents such a big leap forward, and they were all released with merely a one year (!!!) gap in between. Then he took quite a while before releasing Drukqs (but still not too long compared to BoC standards...), also the singles and EPs in between ...

 

So if there's any truth to him producing stuff in private and not releasing, it's hard to imagine where he might have ended up. Perhaps he's already produced literary the most mindmelting shit out there years ago. But somehow I feel he hit a dead point and didn't really do much altogether. I wish I knew for sure though.

 

Yeah I'm back on the hype train I guess.

How many total hours of released music has he put out over like 25 years? /maybe it's spoiled to demand more at all. Not many both so prolific and gifted. Not that I'd complain of course...

okay for me to pass on pretty pointless figures, because RDJ

has stated publicly in interviews that he was a millionaire,

even before that even made sense. Dude made some wise

business decisions and struck perfect deals in the 90's.

 

And I know this from casual discussion when I was in London,

about his divorce and shit, before most people even knew he

was married. I am not friends with RDJ, but we have mutual

friends.

 

In summation: RDJ is a true musician and will always make

music. But due to arrogance, he prolly thinks he's better

than all his fans, and fur serious- there is absolutely no

fucking positive reason for him to release anything under

the Aphex Twin moniker.
