Guest jasondonervan Posted August 12, 2013 Share Posted August 12, 2013 I think I already mentioned that I was facing redundancy at work (yet again), but it seems that as well as having to re-apply for my current role, it looks like I'm being encouraged to apply for a more managerial role that could be on the table; due to circumstances like some folks potentially leaving as a result of voluntary redundancy, and the general thinking of 'hey, why not give it a go while everything is up in the air?' I have a month to prepare for potentially two interviews. Fingers crossed this one concludes over in the first world achievements and successes thread. ^Feelin' that. Spent my last £ on a beer for the train home from work. I now have nothing until next Tuesday. Sad times. Wait.........what thread is this again? Geographical issues prevents me from buying you a beer or two down the pub, but I'll do my best over in the 'gif with complimentary music' thread this week to keep you entertained, at least. I knew a guy that was in charge of PR I think there? and he was one of the coolest eccentric characters Ive ever had the pleasure to meet. I think youll have a blast, if not learn a lot from the opportunity. You have successfully achieved my childhood dream of working for NASA, I at least have massive respect for you on that tip!!! Im paralleling this post with my post in the first world problems thread, but Im ALMOST done the neverending flood of paperwork and will soon be teaching and reading cool books again! Huzzah! I think that's the same program I was going to apply for earlier this year, but my laziness got the better of me (and I'm not a very good engineer anyway) -- you will have a great time and that's a kickass opportunity!
