I would have liked to see Siriusmo - Enthusiast get a lil love

Looked this guy based on your recommendation.

Thanks for that. The title track off of enthusiast is incredible IMO, in the top 5 tracks of 2013 for me. Hits all the right notes for me. Quirky, big bass, well mastered and produced.

Also the album is very playful. There's some tracks that made me cringe a bit but I realized some of them are in jest. Mosaic is equally impressive, especially the title track!

No option for Trackermatte's Shadow Festival

Poll is invalid

Tough cookies mang. There was a nomination thread. It was open for some time. And pinned atop the Music Discussion forum no less.

What spd did makes perfect sense. If only 1 (or in this case, zero) people nominate something for AOTY, what's the point of running it in the voting?

i don't really know if it made 'perfect sense' from an nice and tidey organized standpoint it does, but it ends up being just like almost every end of the year list with the same albums we've all seen before, even though many people in here voted for lesser known and more obscure works 2, 3 or even 4 times but still didn't make the list.

what you are describing is literally the definition of a poll though, if only 2 people out of 200 hundred vote for it then that is what happens. you cant base a voting system on obscurity being more interesting.

perhaps it wouldn't have worked out that way if you couldn't have voted multiple times. People wouldn't have gone, i like this and this and this and this, and oh yeah exai. Might have led to a more even field vote wise. Probably would have led to the same result though, just with less votes for the main contenders.

Personally for me, these lists are most interesting for what people suggest, rather than for whom emerges as the leader. Because it's a good way to catch up on music that i mightn't have noticed over the course of the year, and as i'm pretty lazy about these things generally i benefit greatly from a long arse list of what everyone's listening to, with associated comments.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. He's definetly got some great stuff. Fun tongue in cheek. Check out his "Pearls and Embarassments" Cheers!
