I haven’t been on ig since 2020 and I don’t miss it.
The beginning of the end for me was when they changed the timeline from “most recent” view to the “bullshit algorithm” view. I used to use it for (in addition to posting arty pics) staying current on updates from artist/musicians that I followed maybe a few record stores or whatever. 
Once they switched to the algorithmic feed I stopped seeing content as it was posted and it forced me to stop relying on my feed for current content. I actually felt like I was being violated and was pretty much like

You can bend your feed to more of what you want to see, it takes some time, and I’ve found following hashtags helps train it somewhat.
