  1. never been a Cure fan specifically (they’ve got some good tunes, ofc) but gave this song a listen today & thoroughly enjoyed it.
  2. i had the exact opposite reaction (i am no fun at all)

    Dune

naw, Villeneuve's going to quit directing them after Messiah, and i'll be very surprised if any producers will touch the main story post Messiah. Children of Dune could be done but gets a bit weird and doesn't have enough 'normie' meat to it for them to do it as a 4th movie, i'd think. who knows tho. the prequel series looks like it might be interesting at least? maybe some other non-main Dune stuff could be cool but they'd have to keep Brian Hebert mostly/entirely out of it 'cause he's trash
  4. https://satlib.cira.colostate.edu/event/hurricane-helene/ cool short videos here from a number of sources/times. the video player is a little janky, maybe just cause i'm on Firefox idk, worth it tho
  5. MARCHROMAT30a is decent, but the ideas in it are far better than the execution. it could've been a masterpiece if he'd cut all the silly shit (and the ideas that ended up elsewhere on Syro) & spent some more time working on the progressions/songform. he got hung up on making weird noises and it deserves to be a b-side.
  6. i was going to suggest Ableton Live Lite for you, some tweaking with the samples (slowing, repitching, stretching pauses between words, etc.) + vocoder might do what you're wanting, but it doesn't look like the vocoder effect is included in the Lite version. it does have Beat Repeat which has a couple of defaults that can do some pseudo-vocoder things. edit: if you can give me a decent written explanation of what you're wanting changed with a recording i could try to do it, worst case scenario
  7. that's an okay track, first of his i've heard that i've dug i believe
  8. ? in the birds thread ? ? ?
  9. thanks for the spotlight/support! We Are The Music Makers | Volume One by Various came here to mention Calum Gunn's Messy Air that came out recently-ish. definitely one to give a listen for the AE fans, strong stuff that stands well on its own of course, but i'm sure right up your alley if you're into the Quaristice through NTS era AE more minimal/experimental pieces. https://calumgunn.bandcamp.com/album/messy-air
  10. thank y’all for keeping at this ludicrous assertion from mr. rude, as i’ve lost the energy/time to the last week.
  11. the Sears Portrait Studio vibes on this are heavy one of the rare instances of birdsong > music being cool/good/not totally lame and lazy and boring as all fuck
  12. one month out, have some codes my good WATMMers who’ve not had the chance to nab it yet https://pointsourcearts.bandcamp.com/yum ccbj-euu5 csdr-bpjf p44a-wn8a rcsb-ha77 7vmb-wcpx hanf-xwdn
  13. tracks are all good, each has its own nice little weird flavor to it, but damn are they short, felt each of them got cut in half or something. i’m all for a nice tight track, especially for certain genres of dance that’s important, but these all felt like they were just about to get going and then it’s over. its good tho, good good stuff.
