From Soul Jazz website: Watch out for our second Box of Dub which comes out on November 5, followed by a steady stream of related dub step single exclusives. Expect all the regulars - Digital Mystikz, Kode 9, Skream, Subversion, Burial plus new tracks by Ramadanman, Coki, Cotti, Pinch, Cult of the 13th Hour and more. Remember these are all exclusive new tracks!!!! Could be pretty decent. Looks like Burial will be busy in the beginning of November.

"This EP serves to promote his forthcoming album on Rephlex, entitled "Robotic Operating Buddy", a CD-only double disc set featuring his entire Rephlex back catalogue plus a clutch of new material. This record is intended for audiophiles, vinyl enthusiasts, DJ's and people that are impatient to hear more. On the A-Side we hear a haunting melodic breakbeat number, whereas the B-Side features an exclusive scientific remix by Heinrich Mueller, CEO of the Dataphysix institute, who have released classic albums under the monikers of Dopplereffekt, Arpanet, Der Zyklus & Japanese Telecom among others. " Can be pre-ordered here. I have liked older Bochum We…

Talib Kweli - Eardrum

Talib Kweli - Eardrum I had all but given up on kweli. I havent enjoyed anything hes done since Black Star. Friend of mine insisted that I give this new album a chance and i'm glad I did. I havent got much more else to say so ill link to the wikipedia page which shows contributing artists and so forth. just wanted to make a post for those who may be on the fence about kweli. grass is greener. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ear_Drum_(album) ps. common's finding forever is pretty good too. I wouldnt necessarily label either of these as becoming classics just yet but they are both well produced and easy to get into albums that grow on you.

this came out several months ago, but i just discovered it. Russian trance duo that usually make standard fare, but decided to do an "ambient trance" album that reminds me of the early part of FSOL's experimentations in the area. very nice indeed.

I' don't really really know if you guys are into this kind of hip hop, but I remember seeing some jay dee fans out there... Anyway, I'm listening to the podcast of the upcoming guitly simpson's album on stone throw records : (you can get it at this address : http://rapidshare.com/files/66999002/Guilty_S.zip ) and apart from a couple of regular, boring tracks, this sounds like a great LP... The production is from Madlib and jay dee among others... and I can already tell whcih tracks they produced, and they are really great. And our guy guilty is really good at gangsta rymes as well.... What do you thnik of this ?

not much known yet... snares' myspace player has 2 tracks ("if I could say I love you" and "hollo utca 2") and at least 2 tracks from his recent livesets ("hopeless pursuit of remission" and "my half") will be on the album. according to mr. funk "this album has nothing to do with dubstep and very little to do with breakcore."

this is the first must-buy from iTunes i've ever recommended. as part of this series, each artist contributes a mix designed to simulate a run, with a warm-up, peak and cool portion of the music. the first ones were just mixes of other tracks, but AR has created a completely original mix featuring live instrumentation, similar to what the Beasties do, however, he doesn't cram it with too many lyrics, just the right amount of choruses and snippets not to ruin the flow. i always thought EL-P did most of his production, but this is a stellar example of his production skills. essential.

the single the released last year was one of the coolest things i've ever heard... i checked the samples on bleep, and this sounds pretty good. the only problem is that there is still some of that GOOFINESS to it... not sure if i could live with that. anyone heard this album? how is it after a few listens?
