so i've plattered F off chicago, detroit, redruth. im pacing and thinking. my god mr. vibert, these chords are amazing. these things turning around. i particularly like that one note in the bassline -- you know the one. the one with the funk. so anyways, since i'm pacing, i figure i may as well do something with it. i start pacing back and fro. wahowahoaw. spin! da-BUN bun. then i realize it's 1:30 in the morning and i'm doing this in front of a giant fucking bay window. but then i calm down -- it's my fucking house, and it's not my fault that luke vibert makes me walk funky. but really, will he still love me in the morning?

Hey guys, I recently heard this track in a mix and I'm sure it's by Mr. Vibert but since my collection of his stuff is rather imperfect, I haven't heard this one before. http://soundcloud.com/sooor/luke-vibert-esque-track-plz-id Can anyone tell me the name of the track and under which alias Vibert recorded this? Thanks in advance sooor

Anyone know what the jazz song is that's sampled? The bit that starts at 0:21.

Luke's done some amazing Jungle tracks under his Amen Andrews alias, many of these tracks reference classic jungle tunes a lot of which are highly sought after and rather rare. Here's a thread to compile the originals via youtube clips or mp3. It might be good to pair them with youtube clips of his versions for comparison. Hopefully I can pass on a bit of knowledge and you can too! Here's one to start off: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fo1rOjd1bBo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEl3yNf61wE

So my best friend and my girlfriend were over yesterday. While the girlfriend was almost asleep around midnight, my friend and me just flipped through the channels. We got hooked on NRW-TV or some other shitty channel due to the stupid dialogue of an absurd looking "porno", one of those that are harmless enough for regular TV, set in a strangely lit sauna type place. It was only after a minute that we started noticing the music that got louder once they were through with the talking. Me and my mate agreed that it sounded oddly familiar but couldn't pinpoint it. Stylistically, it sounds like something that could have been made by Vibert some 15 years ago. It most certa…

Taken from another thread; this rang rather true to me. Keep it vaguely technical, more like "what's your favourite drum break" and "what equipment did you use to get effect X". What I'd like to know personally, as previously said, is what microphones or field recorders does he use today? His recordings of his children have great fidelity; though maybe it's just the EQing.

Big Soup reminds me of riding my bike to the local community college to take philosophy classes last summer, an incredibly chill time in my life. Roll out of bed, bike to class in flip-flops, head on over to a friend's house after class and smoke weed for the rest of the afternoon.

what's up errbody. haven't been around watmm for a minute, but i thought y'all might be interested to know that i've been cranking out some serious overhauls of the wagon christ source site over the last few months. it's still got a ways to go, but i could use some feedback from fans to ensure the site reaches maximum awesomeness. www.wagonchrist.com anything you'd like to see on the site that's missing? obviously the remix/comp/etc. sections of the discography are out of date and i'm working on that. i've been trying to embed youtube vids into the discography sections so people can preview the releases and check out some of the harder to find one-off t…

i don't know what others have to say in regards to this lovely track, but this has gotta be one of the nicest, most calming pieces of music he's made. that wavering melody behind the organ and the beats sounds...so soulful. he must have been in a very great mood when he made it.

This was posted in some other thread. And as it was released as a Black Mustang EP I never heard it. Now show me more you goons. Also, I've played this track literally 6 billion times since it was brought to my attention yesterday. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7rNdRbeXbg

Listening to the 2007 Perth set right now which is VERY Kerrier District-y. Anyone else really wanting some more of this stuff? It's the happiest music ever, it puts me in a great mood every time I hear it. Been 3 years since the last release of discoy stuff, I'm wanting another volume!

http://www.ninjatunexx.com/info Third page, on one of the vinyl 7's is a Wagon Christ track called Sloth Gets Paid. While I'm considering this boxset more on the fact that Ninja Tune's never steered me wrong and also holy shit new cLOUDDEAD, it'd be a rather nice bonus.
