I was walking down the city street yesterday and a bit of paper flew past me that said Luke Vibert was playing somewhere in Melbourne 2016? I just found out he did some free Red Bull shows in April 2015 and am bummed that I didnt see him. Any idea where in Australia in 2016 he is playing?

at first i was a bit iffy with Weirs. i had trouble getting into it. just recently went back to it and it sounds amazing all of a sudden, and then i checked out Rodulate (which i like even more). "Go to Sleep (Everything is Alright)" has gotta be one of my favourite Vibert-related tunes! not sure what watmm thinks about these albums. any strong love for either of these releases? liked them instantly? take several listens?

not sure what this is all about, but Luke appears throughout the film, mostly towards the end- it features that track that was just posted in the prior thread (the Matetron remx) http://soundhunters.arte.tv/watch/pt/SpeakTheWordsTheWayYouBreathe

Going by the announcement on CHATMM I guess this will be out on Monday 3rd November . It's interesting that it's under the Amen Andrews moniker, I wonder how he distinguishes whether to use Plug or Amen Andrew, perhaps this is down to the era in which it was initially conceived? As mentioned in a previous thread I heard a few unreleased Vibert Jungle tracks at a party a couple of years ago. Recently I also re-listened to a set he played at Atlantis in Vancouver 2003 which features at least 6 unreleased tracks of Vibert Jungle dynamite. I think quite a few of the tracks I heard at the party are in that Atlantis set and there's a strong chance at least a selection o…

Blerp it up with this Vibert shirt and MP3 bundle of the album. I wish he sold these, or even the album @ Fabric, but they only sell the club merchandise. https://bleep.com/merch/957-kerrier-district-luke-vibert-kerrier-district-t-shirt

Saw that this was in the making a while back, it's out now :) http://www.thevinylfactory.com/vinyl-factory-films/the-record-sweep-watch-luke-vibert-try-and-spend-100-on-vinyl-in-10-minutes/ "too new, too new, don't like new records" Interesting picks imo, his influences seem to have changed a lot (I was expecting more stuff to sample from, soundtracks / library stuff /jazz / fusion / whatever), you can clearly hear it in his 2014 sets too.

Can't really keep up anymore, according to the description this is the 5th Solid Steel mix Luke's done. Anyway, I thought this was worth sharing because there's a few nice gems in here, they are mostly fun mashups he's done so the tracklist is just a scrambled mess :) Interesting is that the mashup between AFX and Michael Jackson that AFX played in a set once is also included in this set, looks like Luke did that then. When asked to sum up his mix, he simply said; "It's sum of my stupid mash-ups put together!" http://solidsteel.net/broadcasts/939/tracks Also availble on Mixcloud: https://www.mixcloud.com/Solid_Steel/solid-steel-radio-show-852015-ho…

Luke will do a gig together with David Douglas and Maask the 9th of January of next year in Leiden. Last time he was here was also early January, so let's make this an annual thing :) Can't miss this of course, no tickets to buy yet but I'm there! Just look at this beautiful flyer for the event: https://www.facebook.com/events/741197912601756/?fref=ts

recently I thought the highpassed resonant guitar at the start of E-Z Listener sounds like it is saying "who got the funk", or possibly "mmm, got the funk". hence I was inspired to make this thread.

as the case seems to be that relatively few people have a physical copy of this, I would like to put forward the motion of a repress on a label that isn't obscure and Japanese. Luke, I know that you seem to favour obscure labels lately (either because you want to help them get started with a famed release or they give you excellent creative control) but that was a really good EP and nobody can get it.

it's clear what's been labelled as "Scirem" most of the time was not the actual remix, given the new user39028094280 demo that's just popped up which actually uses the main synth riff

Nice vibes on this badboy, no news on a release date yet but it doesn't take much imagination to work out that there'll probably be some remixes released as a follow up to Falty's album from last year. Sounding great, gimme! FaltyDL - New Haven [Give The Drummer Some] Luke Vibert rmx
