the reason was, i was annoyed by the fact that i was annoyed about a tiny bit of paint chipping off at one edge and the silk-screened graphics on it not being of the highest quality - i felt like a big sissy, and was using the synth in this way. all these words printed on it were also just a distraction.

i like how the interface feels much more abstract now.

yes... modding is certainly a one way ticket :]

 

but i also have a good reason: i'm studying media arts, and bought the synth through the art school from the project money we get. this means it belongs to the school, and if i want to keep it, i gotta transform it somehow, e.g. turn it into part of an installation or something. else the school will keep it after the project is done (which means it would likely end up never being used by anyone ever). i bought it for experimentation - if it breaks during the process, so be it.
