Corn Cat presents TV Dreams. This album has been in the works for around 6 months and is starting to reach completion, for my fellow boarders I give you the nearly finished version. All that's left are some very small sonic tweaks. Hopefully this is the album that gets me signed. For people who read this thread, you may be interested in hearing my most complete work yet. It is a sonic journey of the mind, and as an album each track serves its own purpose. I'm quite proud of this one. If you like what you hear don't be held back from blogging it up, posting it on other forums, or whatever you wish to do. I want word to spread of this creation, as I believe it to be quite e…

So I haven't finished listening to this album yet. If I remember correctly I think this forum has a decent number of Fennesz listeners? This album so far is pretty good fun times.

it's in the vein of bad timing, eureka, halfway to a threeway, and insignificance, though there are no vocals. it's one, thirty-eight minute piece. really clean mix/production. apparently he played everything on the record himself. http://www.dragcity.com/system/album_products/images/1511/large.jpg?1248993044 (cover)

Robert Henke - Indigo_Transform

From Robert Henke/Monolake's homepage: "In early October 2008, the swedish installation artist Fredrik Wretman contacted me, because he wanted to use my Monolake piece Indigo for an installation. I liked the idea, but found it a bit inappropriate to simply play back the same song again and again in a loop. Instead I isolated some elements from the original piece and transformed them into slowly evolving atmospheres to match with the aura of Fredrik's installation, Tap Tim, which radiates a sense of timeless contemplation, one single calm and focused work of art in a large gallery space. With my laptop and my pre-prepared atmospheric sounds I came to Ostersund a f…

QUOTE News from the front. After the critically acclaimed Rhythm of Snow (2002, Force Inc) and Will I Dream During The Process (2006, Sending Orbs) albums, Icelandic producer Yagya (Aðalsteinn Guðmundsson) brings his third full-length album “Rigningâ€. Brilliant Dub techno & ambient on both CD and vinyl formats (2x12â€). We welcome Rutger Prins to our art team. Expected release date of SO 011 is mid/end September. his second album wasn't as strong as the debut, imo, but judging by the tracks found on his myspace which i assume are from the new album, it's back to heavily GAS influenced sound.i especially like track Rigning Ten. very eager to hear this whole album.…

Decomposure's new EP just came out yesterday titled "North Carolina". Came out Yesterday... Some copy/paste from the Musician: Album Overview Right now i'm trying to write about this little album i put together a few months ago in, you guessed it, North Carolina. The motivating impulse behind it was simple: go on vacation, write and record a new song each day, leave with an EP. And that's pretty much what happened, although i think a little more explanation is in order. But in the spirit of the album, i'm capping my writing time for this little overview at two hours. So, it's 8:37 now, let's see how this goes, starting now. And let's begin another sentence …

Traject - Birting
by Guest maus- 11 replies

dunno if anyone here got into traject's "strengir hrynja' a few years back, but i was perusing myspace and found out he's got a new one out, called 'birting'. http://www.boomkat.com/item.cfm?id=191419 holy balls. to my tastes, this is the best thing i've heard all year hands-down, bar none (at least in the electronic world.) i can never appropriately gauge what watmm's tastes are at any given moment, but i'd be willing to be there are a few on here that would fucking love this as well. highpoints so far include '0718', and the absolutely STOMPING 'metropolis'. the first 2 minutes of that track make me want to buy (steal) an armored personnel carrier and cr…

http://www.plugonemag.com/2009/03/19/sa-ras-nuclear-evolution-the-age-of-love While 2007's Hollywood Recordings was a disappointment (shitty guest mc spots, no flow, and everything else comes w/ botched-record-deal fuckery) this is really good - funky, soulful, and dirty in all the right places. Something to bump whilst getting blazed with your lady. Production is top notch as you'd expect (check their remixes of Four Tet, MMW,and anything else they've touched). If I had the money I'd commission these guys to score a high-class porno.

ACP057: Loom - Coffee for the Kids Loom's second album is a childish little bastard. Just turn on your Fisher Price Cassette-Recorder and let your mind wander to the first time you played with fire. Or when you swiped your little brother's matchbox cars. It's all hidden between the stumbling beats and the squeaky little melodys. And remember: you don't have to like this music, you have to nurture it! Don't let it cock a snook at you! 11 tracks total. Download the album for free from http://www.acroplane.org You can check out some previews on the website.
