EKT New Releases
Just finished a new EP or LP you'd like to share or announce to your fellow EKTers? This is the place for it! Please only post about "finished" works, no one-off tracks or WIPs - that's better suited for YLC or EKT General Discussion. Also, if your works appear on a compilation, be sure to get the permission of the compilation owner before posting any links to download tracks - yours or the compilation in general.

Hello again! I have compiled a full length live-album out of sets from 2021 streaming events like "Brainrave". I wanted to put out a full length release of some favorite tunes to have a longer record out there. I was considering doing a "best of" kind of thing but settled on releasing live extended tracks instead. I went very light on the post-production because i wanted it to sound as much as possible as the way it does while i'm performing. I hope you enjoy!!! It's on bandcamp and also streaming on all the awful places like Spotify and Youtube. https://dollarstorekeyboard.bandcamp.com/album/live-from-the-dollarstore

Kind of a harsh album at times, but somehow it feels like it all ties together (to me).

I put up another digital EP of reverb-heavy, bassline-driven dancefloor-friendly IDMish Detroity techno on bandcamp. The default track above is very techno but I think folks around here will like the opener, "Night Gardening" better- came out very Analord / Cheetah EP. Can't seem to link to that track so you're gotta go the link above and get it from there 🙂

I was just wondering if anyone on watmm would want to maybe contribute to a compilation cassette where all the profits go to charity? https://musicfestnews.com/2019/12/21-music-related-charities-that-rock/ My wife and I donate to a lot of different charities and I’ve never really done anything music related with them, other than playing at benefit shows and those types of events/festivals. I guess, if you guys think it’s stupid, then I’ll delete this topic. But if interested post comments and thoughts here. I would personally finance the whole thing being produced or whatever. Do any of those charities look promising in that link?

"What did I just hear?" "Did I already hear that pattern or is it slightly different?" With this album, I am attempting to provoke the listener to ask both of these questions and to take them out of their current context. Composed using Max/MSP + ppooll mostly. Thanks!

Hi friends! Recently dropped this little EP, quite happy with how it turned out. Big thanks to WATMM in general (and Stick in particular) for early feedback on some of these tunes - definitely helped crystallize/refine things. Enjoy! Spotify for the streaming inclined Hyperfollow for everywhere else.

We're all going to "Shee-bal-ba" (Xibalba) A noisy, post-rock journey into the blackest depths of Xibalba - the gruesome Maya Underworld. Drenched in piercing feedback and unsettling, clashing noise.

Hi guys, I am a big fan of the Glitch genre, especially the noisier and the more experimental colors that evoke heavy emotions (like Fennesz/Oval/Stephan Mathieu/Alva Noto/). I've been experimenting with some ideas for a while and I believe they shaped into album-worthy material. Let me know what you glitch lovers think about this 🙂 Thanks!

Hi all. Hope you're all well. I've *just* hit the "upload to Spotify" button for the third Spectral Gates album, 'lunar', and we put a clip up for the first single 'moontruck' today. We're a Sydney-based instrumental two-piece, playing dubby electronic post-rock. Our previous album was mega sludgy, but 'lunar' has a lot of sharper sounds on it. The feature track is propulsive electro-rock. Started off as an attempt to do something like 'future sound of london - papua new guinea' but it ended up nothing like that by the time we finished. We custom developed software to make the clip (and the song, for that matter) - there's a bunch of video re-synthesis in t…

New England Science Center This release of mostly analog techno jammers is pay what you want and what I get from this album I will be sending to the Ecotarium, a local science museum here in Worcester MA USA, which is closed now, and scuffling in these Covid19 times. For me, this makes sense. With all the shittiness in the world, this may seem like an odd choice. I'll just say this place means a lot to me and I don't want to see it diminished by the most recent urgent shittiness. I grew up going to this museum with my family and friends. I had birthday parties there. I got my first real job there in high school. Now, I bring my kids there. One of the recent arriva…

United Kingdom. 26 December 1980. As darkness fell, an RAF security patrol observed a series of strange lights descending into the gloom-laden Rendlesham Forest. An investigative team was dispatched. The officers noted burn marks and broken branches - a mysterious triangular pattern was also discovered on the forest floor. This is what they heard.

Myself (as Soloman Tump) and Stone Jaw followed up our 2020 split, and created a socially distanced collaborative dungeon synth/noise/drone/weird thing that we christened Clairvont. We each worked independently on layers of sound, not knowing what the other was preparing, only guided by a rough duration. Sounds like it could be a complete clusterfuck, right?! Well, actually it turned out to be semi-cohesive and it helped us come up with the project name and premise. We layered our sections, and with some simple volume / EQ control, The First was created.
