  1. But..... I love Barking. Its a collab / remix album so obviously very different and full of diverse sounds. And I wish "Downpipe" had made the album, it's a belter. And Barbara Barbara..... Hmmm.... Well.... It's not their most memorable album, sits alongside Oblivion With Bells in the hierarchy I guess.
  2. B-side is the "Everything Everything" live version - so presumably the version I already have on the DVD. Which is great, but I don't need it again on wax.
  3. I bought the 2xLP "best of" Drift 1 release, which was pretty good actually although some of the tracks are edited down I believe. Plays through as a nice album. But agreed I love some of the longer tracks, and the Necks CD is kind of like a completely separate release really. Karl's vocals are pretty essential IMO. I would go as far as to say "no guest vocals" - The Iggy Pop thing was ok but only as a 1-off hotel jam experiment!
  4. It will be a heavyweight 12" vinyl 45rpm with the original on A side and an alt take AA side. It will be in nice packaging and cost around £20. No doubt there will be a bunch of other merch to go with it like T-Shirts and hoodies. I kinda think these represses have run their course - to me it's starting to feel like milking the die hard fans at this point.
  5. Nina is more than happy to lead the party lifestyle and release big records via a major European distro, throwing party techno to huge crowds worldwide and rake in the cash in the Western world. But as soon as her record label comes under thread she is forced to finally release a statement because this has hit her where it really hurts... her wallet. You want Peace Nina? Putin's Peace? I'm afraid you can't have your cake and eat it. If you wanna carry on playing big European festivals then playing the "no politics" card won't stick. This statement stinks, and I hope she gets booted from a few festivals. Also, I read she has a terrible attitude. Seth Troxler:
  6. Awesome this went out on Russian state TV. The heavily scripted hostess was trying her best bless her!
  7. Yeah those mix CDs were class. DeckFX909, Closer To The Edit and Transitions.... all great. Closer to the edit was around the time I was heavily into DJing prog house / techno and it was like a bible to me. This however, is just bad.
  8. I've got a good feeling (and a hunch) that an announcement is JUST AROUND THE CORNER on a new EP release.
  9. Seagrave is a boss label, I was vaguely aware of this release then kinda forgot about it.... spinning now cheers
  10. Spinning Globe is heavy, good work. Wonder why it's not through SKAM.

    Dune

Used to play that version of the game A LOT. Amazing memories! Had pretty much forgotten it actually, so thanks for that.
  12. Up to episode 13, the 1st anniversary show. Plenty of weird sounds, noises, drones, textures etc..... tracklist at the link. Also I just did a guest mix for WCR's Dark Train show which was a lot of fun. Electro/techno/bleepy stuff for an hour. It will be here soon - In the mix you will find Ekoplekz, Aleksi Perala, Spiritflesh, Chris Carter, Filmmaker, Joy Orbison... all mixed from vinyl, with some added noise layers because I can't keep it clean.
  13. I am usually instabuy-megahyped for Moderat, but I guess my tastes have changed a lot recently. I like this track (and the accompanying video is cool too).
  14. We have kept our netflix going simply because it provides on demand childcare in the evenings whilst I am trying to get dinner ready. It's worth it for that hour a day alone. I have enjoyed a few of the recent series (Archive 81 was fine but they cancelled it, DARK was fantastic, Snowpiercer has been getting worse and worse east season and god know how that keeps getting renewed... I also find myself struggling to find interesting films when I do sit down with the plan to watch one) So as soon as the kids run out of interest, I shall cancel it. I could totally live without it, and since my income is still very patchy it would be a welcome bit of extra cash in the bank for other things.
  15. english subtitled version is on youtube for 99p, which I might just do actually!
  16. Just saw Amy Warehouse on a flyer which is quite good
  17. An Oxford Uni spin-off just achieved Fusion* https://firstlightfusion.com/media/fusion Which is kinda exciting. *a small amount, but I hope it can now be scaled up! I did some work for these guys in the early days and its a really exciting place
  18. This is the worst thing I have read since this entire thing started. Fucking awful. An entire generation of kids who lost their parents due to Russia, will grow up not knowing about their true heritage, or thinking that their families were the ones who were wrong.
