During the mystic witching hour of the first night of September came the annual meeting of Thames ghost boats. Nestled deep in a dark corner of the Kennet and Avon Canal I traded with Baron Rapscallion Von Bucktooth a full net of live squirming coral-blue elvers for a rare black-eyed otter. Though it was the first night of Autumn of the meteorological calendar both our family's sat sweating in our woollen underpants and Berkshire Pig leather codpieces and drank warm wild English berry wine

The black-eyed otter was just thrown on the fire for two minutes without seasoning and it tasted fucking great

I passed a Banh Mi place yesterday on the way to pick up something I ordered.

If that specials board outside caught your eye, it caught mine too.

When I passed it again on the way back my feet took me straight in there.

Made breakfast blini this morning. Basically a pancake omelette.

For filling I diced up some chicken sausage and sauteed with potatoes o'brien and egg. Then applied a dab of sour cream, shredded Mex queso, and a little Sriracha.

it was my first time making it, it turned out really really good.

I cheated a bit though, I used beef cross-rib roast instead of flank steak, it was almost double the price for flank. Had it over some jasmine rice.

Got the rest of the week off and I'm halfway through a second bottle of Chilen red, seem to be drinking more red wine of late I like its mellow, dreamy effect. Beers legendary as a thirst quencher and a social late drink but later into the evening if at home and playing tunes I find myself supping on the great gift of the red grape

and I'm logging off 'cause otherwise I'll be chatting about hunting Bucktoothed Badgers with spears for a pagan barbeque once this glass has finished!!

Winewolf over and out

(ps I never read back over my drunken stories, I like writing them but never revisit them)
