Can't got wrong with literally anything Mick Barr

so very fucking true, he's a rock n roll giant already, idiosyncrasy embodied, the man. btw rock is hell has purging trilogy vinyls on freaking sales for months now already:

this is some of his strongest work to date (from 07) and some of the best musics you'll ever hear:

and the package looks absolutely stunning! highly recommended, shit's limited to 200 copies... can't believe there's not even such a small number of enlightened global u-mans to give em a home :(

He's a genius for sure. Saw him again solo in 2009 in a church and then with Weasel Walter in 2011. Sick.

My fave record is probably OLDEST.

yeh oldest are awesome, they released some leftovers this year in case ya missed it: https://hathenter.bandcamp.com/album/bacterial-insight

the album that turned me from a casual connaisseur to a die hard fanboy was anoint in 2006 and it's probably still my fav in a way. tho other works might reach more extremes (be it harmonic (ixoltion 1/krallice) or abrasive (brainclouds, octis n stuff)) this one just has it all imo and interwoven in such an effortless way, there's nothing like it really.

i even got this insanity with drawings n all: https://www.discogs.com/Mick-Barr-Ocrilim-StringsThrough-Chamber-Music-For-Electric-Guitar-Volume-1/release/4837576

coiled malescence is A++, too... yeah, could go on but i guess we got the point.

are any of the newer Napalm Death releases worth getting into? they're effectively a totally different band from back then.

Honestly, I don’t even like their first two albums. They’re influential I guess, but they actually got good when Barney joined. Everything from Enemy Of The Music Business until now is good-to-great. And yeah their newest is one of their best IMO.

I heard Varg burned churches, but I had no idea it was the 900 year old viking wooden STAVE churches! It's enough to make me sick . All because Christians worship a Jew I presume. Really really sad

guys who own distortion pedals. all sounds the same. The old heavy hitters are still the best

tend to agree, tho that pretty much applies to all musics (sans the distortion pedals). is this how it feels getting old?

on the other hand i do think there's some actual measurable decline in innovation since the millennial turn, like imagine retro parties 30 years from NOW on... what will they celebrate? 80s retro-retro??
