Slowdive - Souvlaki

Jeff Buckley - Grace

Emperor - In the Nightside Eclipse (only 8 tracks, though)

The Innocence Mission - Glow

Starflyer 59 - Silver

Red House Painters - Rollercoaster

Right with ya on Starflyer's Silver.

My no miss would be Bibio - Ambivalence Avenue

I realize it kinda jumps around, but it somehow has become my absolute favorite record of the past several years

Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues

I just heard it for the first time, and somehow it manages to top their last album, also a no misser for me. I was weirded out by how nasal his delivery was on the first couple songs, and wondered why he opted to make it sound like that... but aside from that it's everything I could have hoped for and more. After it finished, I remembered stumbling upon this creepy post-Avatar depression forum, and wondered if an album like this might necessitate something similar for certain listeners. It really is staggeringly beautiful throughout.

I don't think anyone's mentioned this one yet, but out of the last few years Gold Panda's debut "Lucky Shiner" is probably the closest I've heard to a "perfect" album with nothing worth skipping.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQBWz6eJQ9Y&feature=related

Out of the last few years, Merriweather Post Pavilion (Animal Collective), Ambivalence Avenue (Bibio), Age of Adz (Sufjan Stevens), Oversteps (Autechre), and Bromst (Dan Deacon) were all pretty close to perfect as well in my opinion.

In terms of older albums that have absolutely nothing worth skipping, ten I can think of off the top of my head are Computer World (Kraftwerk), LP5 (Autechre), In A Beautiful Place Out In The Country (BOC), Ziggy Stardust (Bowie), The Argument (Fugazi), Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd), The Stone Roses (The Stone Roses), Lunatic Harness (µ-Ziq), Richard D James Album (Aphex Twin), and Doolittle (The Pixies).

The Strokes Is This It is perfect, but more than that, it's somehow still fresh for me, I still listen to the tracks as though I've not listened to them dozens of times before. In the past, I listened to them and thought; these are really good songs, now I listen closely to aspects of the songs I'd not picked up on before. I think the album has remained exciting because Julian Casablancas poured everything he had into each track, rather than thinking of finishing one so he could move onto another. I think he was in a weirdly intense period where it really mattered to him that he got a track exactly right. There's genuine honesty and emotion and anguish in his strained vocals in the last two tracks I'd not noticed as much before because I wasn't listening to them for that. And it's not something Casablancas has been able to repeat in their other 3 albums because the moment has passed and he's no longer singing about failed relationships as though the words coming out of his mouth are a matter of life and death.

It's sequenced perfectly. Slow, short nonchalant opener that sets the tone, then three of the most rhythmic upbeat tracks, track 5 is lively, track 6 is a slight deviation, track 7 is livelier, track 8 is funky, track 9 is huge, the last two tracks are more intense and emotional than anything else on there and when he's repeating just take it or leave it, just take it or leave it over and over, it feels pretty final.

New York City Cops could be replaced with When It Started and it'd still be perfect.
