Because track 1 is a medley, so it's really 10 tracks. Listed on vinyl as 10 tracks.

not one bad track? that's hard. my favorite albums ever have atleast one bad track and a number that i skip through. the only album that has none, no bad tracks at all is pink moon. i can put it on anytime, anywhere and listen all the way through. this is due partly to its length, partly to its simplicity and partly to its being amazing.

Geinoh Yamashirogumi - The Akira Soundtrack

I've got a bunch other that have been mentioned here, but ever since I first heard this album it's been on constant rotation for me, never really leaving for more than a month or two at a time. It's just one of those albums that for me anyhow, was on point the entire time.

I do love that album soooo much (too much?) but I'm almost ashamed to say that I really can't enjoy Illusion anywhere near as much as the rest of it. I mean, I do think it's good (the first 4 minutes are HEAVENLY) but... I really do struggle to get through it.

But it defenitely is one of my favourites... if not my favourite.

I do agree its the weakest of the bunch, but still, it's not so much a "miss" as a "doesn't live up to the rest". Like you said it's still good, easily the highest consistency of quality for my ears.

LP5 is the only one that comes to mind for me, even then it has a couple kind of dodgy short tracks,

but all of the full tracks are killer

I know it's kind of obvious but I don't think anyones mentioned the Beatles Revolver

Geinoh Yamashirogumi - The Akira Soundtrack

fuck, yes! the Ghost in The Shell Soundtrack by Kenji Kawaii was also the most stunning thing for me at that time. thhhough. it is not a perfect album ...because i have some miss, because some of the elements are too often copied within the pure tracks. its a perfect SOUNDTRACK for the film though!

i need to check out Akira anyway. i've been wanting to do that for years now (i'm not a film geek at all)
