goDel Posted May 10, 2017 Share Posted May 10, 2017 I've read barely more than headlines whilst browsing, but my impression was that Comey was fired for statements he made in a hearing last week which were claimed to be false/highly exaggerated by multiple, anonymous members of the FBI. This was probably a 'strike three' sort of thing with his heavily-publicized history of being misleading. Someone please do correct me if that's incorrect, I'm not reading up on this shit tonight. That's close to the official story coming from the white house, apart from the strike three thing. There should be no need to explain why you shouldnt take info coming from the wh for granted. Ironically, the fact you have to add the strike three thing already implies the official reason is hardly convincing on its own. This wh has the integrity of a bunch of drunken frat boys.
