well he stated this a few days ago...pins & needles

"I think the person I pick will be big, big," Trump said, according to a partial transcript of a Christian Broadcasting Network interview set to air in full on Sunday. "I think evangelicals, Christians will love my pick."

I like the photoshop one. Going back to the touched up hand posts...

They're hilariously terrifying, but not sure if I can buy these are legitimate accounts of #POTUS.

i also remember mitch mcconnell saying something along the lines of it didn't matter who obama picked for supreme court because they were going to block all his suggestions.

yeah it's impossible to verify, but we'll see whether any of their predictions happen like this one: https://twitter.com/RoguePOTUSStaff/status/826153579991937026

xenophobic French-Canadian storms into a mosque and kills Muslims after Trudeau expresses Canada's inclusive position on immigration in response to Trump's antics. ding ding, let that register.

edit: The Australian, a smug conservative paper of choice by most in our current government, ran headlines on this event, which surprised me, especially when they clearly referred to it as a "terrorist" attack (cos we all know that word is reserved for specific actions by specific people). I thought "oh, they had a rare moment of honesty".

of course this fleeting assurance vanished when I read a bit further and realised they were spinning it as an attack by Muslim extremists on Muslims, before it turned out to be some white college edgelord, and complete with unverified remarks about the attacker(s) yelling Aloha Snackbar before opening fire. of course... the immigration ban is justified, don't you see? it protects Muslims.

chris hayes sean trende thread on twitter: ban designed to be struck down by courts and vociferously opposed by political opponents so that those elements can be crushed when next (and statistically highly likely) attack comes. of course that likelihood  is higher given their general incompetence, and racist posturing.

At work I'm practically the only one who didn't vote for trump. There are only 5 of us who work here (4 now since one was fired). Funny how you couldn't shut them up leading up to the inauguration. It's been crickets here at work since all the executive orders. One finally broke down today and voiced her disapproval of how he's doing things.

All of our newspapers are referring to it as a terrorist attack. They have been very clear that it was a french Canadian as well.

Edit: just saying it doesn't look like our media has the same shitty agenda, which is nice. Community response so far has been very positive as well. It's basically being universally condemned, as it should be.

Editeditedit: but I see now he hasn't yet been charged with terrorism related charges, which is horseshit IMO. Says investigation pending but yeah.

now The Australian has published a different angle on the story online in light of facts about the shooter. this one doesn't lead with a clear framing of this event as a terrorist attack but rather points to the Canadian authorities intentions to charge the perpetrator as a terrorist. dat objectiveness/neutrality.
