  1. Zoot Woman's second album was released today in 2003, always been fond of this album, so it's getting a spin today.
  2. Impressive, most impressive.
  3. Finally picked this up this afternoon, will blast it for the last hour of work. Thanks again for posting.
  4. I watched this on Sunday. Similar experience to you. I thought it was well filmed, great cinematography. Good soundtrack, even if a on the nose, lots of NIN peppered throughout the film to indicate his mental state. If it wasn't for Denzel I would have switched off. The rave scene was hilarious, the apathy of the crowd, cheering the shotgun blasts and still dancing, and people continuing to rave outside while the building burned. This looks fantastic, awesome cast too.
  5. Aye. I've had a couple releases that have been completely removed from the book of life. In the minority, and most seem to go to Private.
  6. Christ, it's been 12 years since Atavism. Mark & Matt pls. Also need represses of the Mille Plateaux albums on vinyl.
  7. Will have to give this a try, I use Metadatics, no Discogs look up though.
  8. Started using Plex this year. Slowly moving to AIFF for downloads and rips. All on external drives connected to a Mac mini. Home: USB out of Mac mini to iFi nano iOne DAC, and into amp. Not Home: Plex Amp app, stream from server, or download album to device. Plex is prone to wigging out, but I really like it. Will look at setting up a local NAS for backup.
  9. This was an album I lent out and never got back. Very, very annoying. Need to spin this again, and find a copy.
  10. Stonking tune. Some gems on that comp.
  11. Nice. I do like Loess, thought Pocosin was great album.
  12. I think the first time I heard Amber I was stoned, it certainly used to be my go to smoking album. If I still smoked I'd put this on.
  13. I haven't played Amber for a while, and this break has been a good one. Really hit the spot today. There's a lot of tracks from this album that I'd find hard pressed not to included in a favourites list; though that would always be time and mood dependent. Great pacing, the indisputable Ae DNA, slowly evolving tracks, breakdowns, the reverb, the lush... Not too far off from the three decades marker.
  14. I totally get that, while I find a lot of that 90's eurodance naff, it doesn't upset, and serves as an unexpected memory prompt. For me it's the music and presentation of bands like East 17 that I find deeply insidious. In an infinite universe, with infinite earths, there'd still be no world where East 17 are good.
  15. New Tim Hecker album for the BBC Series The North Water. Wasn't aware of the show, or that he scored the soundtrack, until I saw the Bandcamp notification. Trailer:
  16. Awesome band. I really got into the Cabs around 17, after discovering NIN and exploring "industrial". There's so many gems throughout their catalogue, the video work with Peter Care... a bit of everything.
  17. The people behind those awards are adrenochrome blood drinking space lizard satanists. That fucking song was everywhere. The singer always looked, and sounded, constipated.
  18. R.I.P. Richard H. Kirk, and CV will always hold a special place in my heart.
  19. ^ sorry for reminding you. Teenage boners/tingles subthread: I can see appeal of Gina G. Despite the ear murder, I used to have a thing for Whigfield. However, despite changing tastes, the fact that she takes too long to get ready would be a deal breaker
