Yeah, Lynch is cool like that. Can't remember the song from the beginning of Inland Empire, though. He seems to have an obsession with female singers on stages. I don't think I've seen a single Lynch production without at least one woman singing on a stage scene. edit: I guess the scene in Mulholland Dr. wasn't on a stage, but it still counts.
