I didn't see a thread about this here so.... What started as a fan project got so good that apparently impressed Capcom and they took it under their wing releasing it officially as a free download tomorrow for Mega Man's official 25th birthday! Anyone else excited about this?

OKINAWA, JAPAN- Japanese Navy officials have released the first ever photo of the UFO that crashed off the coast of Okinawa yesterday. The photo appears grainy and somewhat unclear since the vessel is submerged underwater but clearly shows a power source still glowing brightly atop the aircraft’s dome. “We wanted to release this photo to the world and confirm the reports issued yesterday,” said Japanese Navy spokesman Yoshido Hari. “This picture will give credence to what some of our citizens living on Okinawa witnessed yesterday. We clearly still have many days of salvaging ahead of us but we will take our time and bring the aircraft up in one piece. We must preserve th…

I dreamed up a new meme 1 2 3 4

Ok watmm, so I just woke up from a dream. It involved a new youtubes vid someone had linked here. It was about a minute and half in length and had this song looped, I think it was Mc Hammer's "U Can't Touch This" but it also sounded a bit like Dj Assault. There was a crude animation of a dog with sunglasses bobbing its head to the beat. Then, instead of "u cant touch this" the dog said "DIG THAT!" and started repeating it at appropriate spots. It evolved to "dig that, diggy dig dig that" "d-d-d-dig that" and other variations. One of the comments said "you had me at the blip". I have no idea what a blip is or was but apparently it was the best part. I myself m…

I've discovered that my local public access started archiving shows online here. It looks significantly less interesting than it did 10 years ago but I'm hoping to find a gem in there. Maybe you guys have a local public access website that started offering online backups for shows? Post a link if you do.

In 2008, Tales of Game's Studios made Tales of Game's Presents Chef Boyardee's Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden, Chapter 1 of the Hoopz Barkley SaGa. The game takes place in Neo New York in 2053. Back in 2041, basketball was outlawed when Charles Barkley performed what is known as a "Chaos Dunk", killing almost everyone in attendance. The great bball purge shortly followed. You play as Charles Barkley, who now has a son named Hoopz Barkley, and you must save the world through bball. And now there's a kickstarter for the sequel called The Magical Realms of Tír na nÓg: Escape from Necron 7 - Revenge of Cuchulainn: The Official Game of the Movie - Chapter 2 of the…

Science Fiction TV Series 1 2

What good sci fi series are out there? I love science fiction shows but I get the feeling there aren't any really great ones anymore. I've recently started watching Blood and Chrome because I was really into Battlestar Galactica, and I've been enjoying it so far but it's hard to really get into something with 10 minute episodes. I've seen some of the classics like Star Trek (and its spin offs) and Battlestar Galactica as well as some lesser known ones like Firefly and Farscape, so what might I be missing? What are your favourites?

the world seems to be moving more towards a self-dictated scale of wrong and right that relies on personal preference more then a longstanding, underlying code. is there wrong and right anymore? do the definitions change depending on our preference or are we in a mass state of delusion? what is beyond human belief and human tradition? is there a universal definition which human beings and even the world (the earth) tends to self-invent its way around, to suit personal preference. does the earth and even the universe itself stray from a code which has existed before the dawn of time? what is 'survival' and 'necessity' translate into anymore in our modern world of exce…

Why do I have to sit here in front of a laptop screen to get the information I want? The internet having so many different purposes (infrastructural, educational, social, artistic, etc.) It's a shame I have to use the same device for everything. The act of using this laptop further increases the divide between my reality and the virtual world, when, ideally, they don't need to be so markedly separated. The huge variety of uses of the internet all get funneled through this one screen...the 'personal computer'. I also get the feeling that I am no longer the master of my information intake. I feel like half of my life just flies at me through this hole in my reality...th…

I've looked at the options from Warpia BUT ideally I don't want to really on line of sight as the Warpia rep says you actually need to during one of the demo videos on youtube. My computer room is about 50 feet and two walls away. My windows mainframe (windows 7) has got all my movies and tv shows on harddrives and I just want to watch them on my tv is all. why is that so fricking hard? anybody use any of these types of systems?

alright brain trust...lets help each other out here and get us all out of this yearly sticky xmas present fiasco...as per usual, i've left purchasing till the deep water, and most probably will get even deeper. I need to find something for the mother, father and older sister (27'ish) Ideas?! feel free to post your own needs and ideas... maybe think of this thread alike the "post cool stuff" thread...except with present giving in mind...and cheapness (strange feeling this will just turn into a silly gadgets thread)

So yeah, vote for the categories you wish to see in the final awards. There are 100 proposed categories here that I will narrow down to the most popular 25. once i've done that can start nominating members for the chosen categories.

So I shall be graduating in a few weeks with my degree Psychology, then onto grad school for neuroscience. I'm doing a study on human relationships and social networks and if you helped me take this quick survey, it'd be hella NDC of you. It'll only take a few minutes and I would greatly appreciate your input. Thanks! http://surveys.questionpro.com/a/TakeSurvey?id=3214817 If you want to know more about the study, you can PM me.

I have to move my PS3 into my home office because the wifey hates me camping in front of the 46" to play FIFA 13 hours on end. Hence, I need to replace it with something so I can haul the PS3 into my lair. Anybody have a recommendation they're pleased with? The price on these sorts of devices has plummeted over the last few years. I bought a Blu-ray player in 2008 for like $250 and it's a total piece of shit now. I need this device to do both Blu-ray and major streaming services: Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, bla.

preordered mine so it should come today--pretty excited for the return of david bateson and fresh gameplay that it looks to offer. i'll miss Jesper Kyd though, as his music was always one of the best parts about the games. what do you all think?
