Started watching the ultimate edition cut of the Watchmen last night, three and a half hours long! Got an hour and a half through before going to bed but I'm riveted so far. Heard mixed reviews about this so I'll chime in with my full thoughts when I watch the remainder tonight but I think it's excellent! Then again I never read the graphic novel so I have no frame of reference - which I don't think is a bad thing.

Zack Snyder is kind of odd, I watch his films and feel like I shouldn't enjoy them, but I can't deny that Dawn of the Dead and 300 were just great fun to watch. I think he's probably making the best action films at the moment.

yes it is magical all the way through, and the sex scenes? they are ESSENTIAL viewing! Tommy Wisseus's alien mind version what 'sex' between 2 human beings is like is extremely strange, it resembles some sort of mid 80s soft core porno commercial for perfume. Lets just say that he uses A LOT of rose petals during intercourse

i should have said after the 1st. Actually, fuck it, you're right, the fact that he reuses the footage every time is quite the lol. And the music in the background.... oh man, listen to the words...

My girlfriend and I were laughing the hardest at the ADR during the sex scenes. Nothing even remotely lines up. The sex scenes with Tommy are freaky. His body is so grotesque, it looked like some kind of weird, flexing worm. I think he was trying to fuck her belly button.

being long overdue, finally watched 8 1/2. Marvellous film, only the second I've watched by Fellini next to Roma. I want more.

Primer.....

Two nondescript conformist robotic norms construct a machine that supposedly conserves energy and slows down time. Suddenly there have two massive machines that they are able to sleep in, creating duplicates of themselves.

The story in this film was alright, with some interesting characters and more subtle creepiness this could have been good.

Watch 'The Last Broadcast' instead

so I watched The Adventures of Pluto Nash tonight and I actually liked it. I guess its like a guilty pleasure movie. I thought it was going to be HORRIBLE, but it was nice watching it to kill sometime. I guess I just like bad movies, lol. Troll 2 for life.

Daybreakers - 2/10

This has got to be one of the weakest stories I've ever witnessed. The same goes for the acting - yes, even Willem Dafoe fails... oh, and he plays the comic relief-kinda guy.

Strange Days 1995 Dir. Kathryn Bigelow

Despite it's plastic looking futuristic effects this is really charming and has some gret exciting moments in it. Perhaps down to James Camerons involvement. Very enjoyable 90's sci fi set in the party and sleaze orientated 'weird future' of 1999.....
