Picked up Demon Souls on the PSN for 4 quid - certainly found the first few hours much easier than I did with Dark Souls. Love the atmosphere & architecture - possibly even more so than the latter game

sooo wii u users. i found bayonetta, the first one in the eshop. they didn't release it with a physical copy did they?

It comes free with bayonetta 2. Friend got a copy and it came with a box or slip or something, so it essentially comes with two blue plastic case games. Don't think you can buy it physical standalone.

Say hello to one of the very few mad-as-a-lorry people outside to Japan to have imported a Wii U.

^ was the regular european version too mainstream :emotawesomepm9: ? or is it just to play japanese only games ?

Hipster Import

Japanese-only games is right. The Wii U edition of ZERO aka Project Zero aka Fatal Frame (pictured far right) will likely not see release outside Japan, same as the previous game in the series (in the middle) never did for the Wii. There aren't many Wii U Japan-only titles worth importing, but it can play original Wii games too, of which there's a pretty hefty back catalogue to delve into.

Is that three copies of fatal frame 5?

From L to R:

- Zero: Deep Crimson Butterfly (Wii) AKA Fatal Frame II

- Zero: Tsukihami no Kamen (Wii) AKA what would have been Fatal Frame IV, but was never localised

- Zero: Nuregarasu no Miko (Wii U) AKA the laughable lit. translation 'Zero: Oracle of the Sodden Raven', what would be Fatal Frame V if localised.

Xbox One set up over the weekend. The playful, summery vibe of Forza Horizon 2 is a world apart from the drab/dull (yet still impressive) Driveclub on PS4. They're both doing different things of course, but FH2 is so varied with lots of interesting modes, and has everything near-instantly on tap whereas DC has sluggish menus and a fairly plain structure that seems a little out of date. Didn't have time to try out Sunset Overdrive, I was that entranced by Forza.

Haha, well all watmm fam are welcome to pop round and have a go anytime... err, except I haven't had time to set up the JP Wii U yet... sorting wiring/furniture for the Xbox One nearly killed me (although the unit itself is a lot smaller than I had been led to believe)

So tonight I decided to just check out torment6 on diablo3 and I joined a group of 3 guys who were doing lvl99 greater rifts. One of the guys was paragon level 8500 so I figured some hardcore shit was going on. I'm new to greater rifts and have never been in one although I received a riftstone earlier doing some trial thing that allowed me to get in one of their lvl99 greater rifts. I just sat in the back because if I was hit once I was dead and all my gear was broken. The greater rift was finished in about 10 minutes and in that time I gained 400 paragon levels, 500 million gold, 500 shards, a dozen legendaries and a legendary gem. My mind was blown and now I don't know what else to do in diablo.

im gonna keep working at it. seems like it will be seriously rewarding if i can get to a point where im not complete shit. a bit like counterstrike. my aim is gone on CS though, and i dont think its coming back. a 5 year break was too much, and game sense can only get you so far.

any recommendations for a fun hero to start off with?

It took me about 1000 hours to learn Dota and another 1000 to get any good. Another 800 to learn how to beat people with item builds alone. It is really rewarding and very frustrating. I also spent a lot of time watching professional matches to speed up my learning. If you watch a professional streamer play then you will learn things you will not learn anywhere else. It will also clue you in on the strongest builds, heroes, and strategies. (meta) If you always play tier 1 heroes your chances of winning will be a lot higher. Although, you should take advantage of the fact that at lower skill levels you can play almost any hero you want. That is something that you don't get to enjoy once you get High Skill/Very High Skill. (3900-6000 MMR)

With CS you have to understand that the aiming system is completely different than cs:s. It's all about standing still when you are firing now, or strafing and firing with proper timing. Also, the deagle is much different now and you have to slow down your fire rate to remain accurate.

REALLY USEFUL STUFF! ▼

MOUSE TWEAKS ▼
Mouse Sensitivity is determined by ►
1. In-Game Setting +
2. Mouse DPI (set in your Mouse's software options) +
3. Windows Sensitivity Slider if the game has no "Enable Raw Input" option (Control Panel - Hardware and Sound - Mouse - Pointer Options). Some say keep on 6th notch from left. I have on 5th as does Scream and others as seems to have no effect anymore.

Disabling Acceleration improves consistency for most people ►
1. Control Panel - Hardware and Sound - Mouse - Pointer Options - Uncheck "Enhance Pointer Precision"
2. Disable in Game Settings!
[NOTE] Some people used to use "MarkC Mouse Fix" to remove built-in windows acceleration. Personally think is just a placebo! (http://goo.gl/BnN0qF)

Grip (i.e. Palm / Claw / Fingertip) ►
- Just hold mouse however you feel is comfortable. High / Low Sensitivity plays a large part in which you prefer.

High vs. Low Sensitivity ►
- From using both: Low made me significantly more consistent and required less warm-up to be on target. Seemed more consistent across games with low as well. High lets you turn faster.
- 360 degree turn for me is 17.5 inches whereas high can be around 5 inches for 360 degree turn!

Same sensitivity every game ► http://www.mouse-sensitivity.com

TBH counter-strike is pretty boring after I got into Dota 2, and the new style doesn't really help capture my interest. It's still fun to play from time to time though.

any recommendations for a fun hero to start off with?

Purge's tutorial "welcome to dota 2 you suck" has a small pick of heroes for beginners that are really fun and quickly rewarding. I've spent "only" 70 hours on DotA 2 but I really enjoy the game now, and the good thing is I know I'll enjoy it more and more every time I'll play it !

Also thanks for the Twitch links AdieuErsatzEnnui, will look after one of those players - never really watched professional players except during The International 4 but even then I really didn't understand shit to that game so it wasn't that enjoyable...

Off mining in Elite Dangerous in party mode with a chum earlier. We were shooting and scooping Palladium, making out like bandits.
