As for Warren not endorsing Bernie. I think by postponing the decision of who she will endorse she is doing the most sensible thing. Obviously her policies are closest to Bernie's so by that standard she should endorse him. But at the same time, Sanders has little chance against Biden and when it's Biden vs Trump anyway it's better if she endorses Biden. Which of course is also not an optimal decision. So waiting for a bit until things get clearer might be a good thing, or possibly never endorsing any of the both. Also, she still wants to have a career. Endorsing Sanders could weaken her standing in her party (completely speculative point, though).

She's still a sitting senator and likely weighing the option of a cabinet appointment. She stayed in too long but this decision to endorse neither candidate does make sense. I think it speaks volumes that her relationship with Sanders is truly nuanced and complicated.

The Booker and Harris endorsements of Biden are quite telling of how shallow their political aims are. While not on the same level it reminds me of how Cruz gave in and endorsed Trump.

her team (warren for president team) just endorsed bernie sanders.

personally i find her stance on remaining mum on this awkward but whatevs. i'm thinking she's waiting for biden to offer her a running mate position so she can endorse him

i thought harris and booker endorsed biden because we need to beat trump, keep the house, and take the senate, for the sake of the country.

Which has what to do with Binden?

DNC leadership would rather nominate a man with literal dementia and lose to Trump than cede power to the progressive wing.

See also their last minute change to town hall format to the next debate, so Biden won't have to directly engage with Sanders.

welp: looks like biden is going to win michigan, mississippi and missouri. washington state should be interesting but it looks like trump will be president again. personally i can't see biden beating him, and to make matters worse: he has a debate on sunday.

he wants to fucking cut social security, he has no plans for improved healthcare or education, he specifically said "nothing will fundamentally change", he's a goddamn republican like the rest of the democratic party

so sick of conservative liberals holding humanity back.  all first world people comfortable with their situation who hate poor people.  things are going to keep getting more extreme, and the terror wrought upon humanity by conservatives and liberals alike will not be forgotten

@ignatiusYes, and to be fair, the same holds for Sanders and even Trump. Elections are like a longwinded shit hitting a fan. The shit flies in all directions. Not just in one particular.

If you know who to vote for, you'd probably be better off ignoring the media coverage of the election at this point. The better informed you'll be. (Irony)

I bet Biden will choose a female VP.

i suspect he will too. perhaps someone to appeal to young voters. shrug.

as for  biden's plans i have zero idea of what his policies are and who he's fighting for or why he's running.. other than to get rid of trump. he's running on his electability and that he's  not trump and not a socialist. he's a different status quo.

i'll happily vote for anyone other than trump in the general election though biden isn't the ideal candidate for me. at least he won't put kids in cages or turn the schools over to betsy devos  ... if he gets elected anyways..

Biden / Harris seems inevitable, and probly their best chance to win.  If he serves 8 years, he would be almost 90, so the chances of him dying and her becoming the first female POTUS could hypothetically happen.

Biden looking good in general polls but he's going to get crushed under any scrutiny.

Trump transcends scrutiny as he just doesn't care - other than perhaps when Covid19 blows up and he's finally shooting 1000s of people on Broadway in broad daylight.

So...Biden will lose if Trump can weather this storm.

Biden will win if Trump has finally met his match.

Both are terrible. Demographically the left is ascendant and the establishment Dems life is soon to be over.

i hope we just have to wait for older reactionary generations to pass and things will naturally get better.  but with impending fascism though things are getting scary. i fear that the nature of dynamic systems means lop-sided behavioral patterns cannot extend into the future indefinitely without being cancelled out.  the deeply ingrained racism of the right on top of which all of the right's policy platforms are built, when questioned, will radicalize and manifest as unmasked fascism, specifically eco-fascism in the next few decades.  ethno-nationalist movements are picking up steam in india, the nazi party is picking up steam in slovakia.... etc

No, fascism is very sloppy. It just screams so loudly it draws attention away from that fact.

Trains did not run on time in Italy under Mussolini any more than they do now. Only difference is back then you were not allowed to complain about it.
