you think there isn't specialization of labor under other economic systems than capitalism?  i spoke wrong to say it has nothing to do with capitalism.  what i meant is it is not -unique- to capitalism.  soviet union definitely had specialization

ok, so the gold standard for capitalism, the global vanguard of capitalism, is not real capitalism somehow, right.  such idealism.  the real world does not match your ideal views of capitalism so it's not real capitalism.  capitalism inevitably results in the formation of -a- united states.  if the whole world was like your ideal capitalism, i assume some nordic european countries, guess what, they would start competing on who is going to form the US imperialist version first, this is very basic

I think you should try harder to strawman my argument. None of what you said resembles anything that I said.

nah, nothing wrong with cheerleading. it's not like this sort of dumb tunnel vision has blundered the US into enough military misadventures over the past x decades for them to maybe look before they leap

I didn't say anything about who should or shouldn't intervene, dickhead.

i'm glad some humanitarian aid is starting to head to ukrainians. the doom scrolling is hard to counter.  i don't need to see anymore blown up civilians.

idk.. seems like russia sent in a lot of canon fodder in the first wave but that'll change. macron said "the worst is yet to come" after he spoke w/putin for 90 minutes just the other day.

some docs popped up yesterday that apparently are russian plans for occupation, trials, public executions etc... in Ukraine.

seems impossible to really know what's going on in russia's inner circles but protests seem a positive development.

i expect NATO will walk the fine line of support/material assistance without engaging directly.  i hope the smart people in the room are getting it right.

if russia continues with the bombing then there will be more and more talk of a "no fly zone," which gambles with starting ww3, with not great odds.

the best thing the russian military can do is nothing

and from that you extrapolated my supposed views on when and how the west should intervene here and now. very good. if it isn't an entirely one-sided single track argument, you become completely lost. I said look before you leap and don't misjudge, I said nothing final about whether or not I think it's a good idea for US/NATO to intervene in this current conflict, which has a risk of becoming more multilateral. I think it's a bad idea to jump in rn but no one knows as yet where this thing will go. don't tag me and say I believe something or other when you don't know wtf you're talking about.

no you weren't, because to reiterate ad nauseam, I am ultimately undecided as this thing isn't over yet and no one knows where it'll go. why don't you try being less retarded instead of less rude? that seems like it should be a higher priority for you.

shouldn't have bothered reading or responding to his posts in the first place, they're never worth it. I've been spending too much time on this story over the last few days, peace out.

capitalists so interested in avoiding war now i guess so wholesome, where are they doing this when US invades a country, clearly international bourgeoisie applying harsher neoliberal shock doctrine no way theyre stupid enough to think this is a good form of warfare rather than pressuring nato to provide russia a guarantee that ukraine won't be allowed into nato

these companies have the good of the people at heart now with everything they all do to the populations during peace time?

Those two will really hurt, no microchips will wreck their industry.

Wonder if they will block the provision of AWS services.

The blocking of consumer products is one thing but blocking the machine parts, lease deals, chemicals, support, maintenance, foreign funding, etc for businesses will send the whole economy on a downward spiral. The St. Petersburg Toyota factory that is being shut down has 2,600 employees, Svetogorsk paper mill being shut down has 1,700 employees and the list will continue.

I've seen analysis also that the Russian civil aviation will also collapse in a few weeks if they can't lease airplanes from west, get parts or even access the electronic service manuals.

specialization has nothing to do with capitalist innovative spirit.  and competition leads to the same thing being done multiple times and anti-competitive actions taking place to prevent others from succeeding.  competition in fact leads to monopoly, which leads to imperialism, which leads to NATO, which leads to NATO encirclement of Russia with nukes, which leads to Ukraine being invaded by Putin to likely try to solidify Ukraine as a neutral buffer state between NATO and Russia out of Russia's national security interests

The encirclement with nukes thing is a bad excuse. Nato or Russia can already destroy themselves from any distance with the reach of nuclear weapons they have, not to mention the nuclear submarines and other stuff. Maybe some countries next to Russia want to be part of NATO to cover their asses from possible  illegal military invasion from Russia  trying to regain territories it had decades before. Examples like in the 2008 Georgia thing, the Crimea anexion and now this war are the proof. NATO hasn't done any military coercion like that.  Maybe those countries like democracy and capitalism more the western way than the rusky mafia way. The point is if a country wants to join NATO democratically, Russia has no right to invade any sovereign nation for that to "solididify it" (lol, more like demolish and murder it) as a neutral buffer state new imposed russian  oblast like Crimea. Also Belarus has to be counted technically like a russian satellite oblast not neutral state.
