"Mr. Hütter said a new Kraftwerk album was under way. “We didn’t fall asleep,” he said. “The 168-hour week is still going on since the beginning, since 1970.”

And when can listeners expect the new album? “Soon,” he said."

Yeah, right. These guys work about as fast as BOC. I'm not holding my breath for anything new. Fast forward five years from now and their 'New Album' will just be another remix of Tour De France.

Only half the album was new material and it was released 17 YEARS after their previous album.

Don't wait up.

huh? it was nearly all new material save tour de france single which was completely reworked anyway? Am I totally wrong?

No, you're right. I don't know why I remembered it that way.

As an aside, anyone who wants a Kraftwerk fix now while we wait another six or seven years would do a lot worse than to check out the Karl Bartos solo album "Communication" from a few years back. I recommend it. There is also an awesome Orbital mix of 'I'm The Message' on some editions.

Me too. I was online when the email came through. Clicked straight over to Bleep, already have an account with credit card set up.

All copies had already gone.

It's no big loss though, I mean the 2009 box sets are still readily available.

I think Warp are full of it. Email from them gets pushed to all my devices immediately.

They really sold all 2000 copies within twenty minutes. I wonder how many they actually had for sale?
