Comments:

Thanks go out to all the artists who made this happen. I'm sorry that I have so little notice about this album, due to confusion with the Sega Genesis Bending Comp (which is still on hold). But all the artists above pulled through with some great compositions in a very short amount of time.

Special thanks go out to Zephyr Nova and ga'arg. Zephyr Nova did a stellar mastering job in an extraordinarily short amount of time (and of course, contributed some excellent music). And as always, ga'arg composed outstanding artwork while listening to the tracks. I love how his artwork for this album is a mixture of adorable and post-apocalyptic, matching the style of the tracks wonderfully. So a round of applause to these fine gentledudes.

Also, as with all of these compilations, please don't worry about donating. This is a free album. And consider putting the whole "Very WATMM Christmas" albums on shuffle together!

Other Recent Releases:

If you missed it, the last MOST IDM bracketology led to two releases:

Tribute to the Rogue Planet Named CFBDSIR_2149-0403 Freely Drifting in Outer Space after Being Ejected from Orbit

Heading for Outer Space

Future Stuff:

Frankie5fingers is currently running a tribute album to autechre. Link to thread here. If you want to get involved in a WATMM comp, that's probably a good place to start.

Also, I still have two tracks kicking around that were submitted for the Genesis Bending comp that I put on hold. Any interest in reviving that?

I love how Gaarg's work is so open to interpretation.

Preach! His work always looks like the outcome of some crazy story, and it's up to you to fill in the story.

This year's cover almost looks theatrical, with the spotlights, smooth stage-like ground, and theatre-set-like tree.

Was gonna make something this weekend since you said the christmas album deadline is 24th, oh well. I'll just submit to the ae one then.

Thanks for putting this together.

Oh sorry about that. I don't remember typing that.

I definitely want to do at least one more (because trilogies are overrated, and I feel there's lots of good Christmas music yet to be done). You could submit next year?

EDIT: That was meant for pafr

sure. I need to get into a habit of producing more music periodically. I'll probably spend most of the time on weekends. I still have so much learning to do too. coursera has some really good music theory/production videos.

Up on DIscogs: http://www.discogs.com/release/5214418

Okay, listened all the way through...

The reverb fade-out on 'White Christmas (Dream'n'Doowop Mix)' is lovely... Really tragic sounding.

'All I Want for Christmas (No Presents Mix)' Gives Mariah a much needed ripping... Cool how dark it is in spite of the source material... I am guessing this is you Root5?

'Tinsel Dimentia' is a stunner: very inspiring!

Loving the dissonance on 'Unsilent Night, 33. AD'. Very bizarre track!

Great job everyone!

I saw Goiter Sanchez sing My Heart Will Go On at Karaoke once, and he nails that angelic falsetto just as convincingly live as on recording. He puts all castrati to shame.

Great work once again to everyone involved. It was a really easy mastering job this time around, so thanks!

I love Swegüno's voice xd and Jubal's track is very awkward but I liked it!

And SAJ's "All I want for Christmas" it's the track James Blake never released hahaha.

Also, Santa's Secret track is great :)

Rudolph, Rudolph...

Unfortunately I was too busy this time to realize any of my ideas. Another reason why I definitely want to do another one next year.

I love "All I Want for Christmas". It adds a nice change of pace, while also blending tonally with Swegüno's track and Santa's Secret's track.

Also thanks for putting it up on discogs!!

Goiter sings like a naked angel.

I have to be honest. When I first proposed this idea two years ago, I was picturing something like "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentledude" in my head. The mixture of classical harmonies and crazy drums is a thing of beauty.

Zephyr Nova - man yer track is like a very healthy baby from Daddy Plaid and Mummy Clarke. Fantastic stuff !

And yeah TRiP - that's wild, who or what was done there?! I take it that it's not just some reverb stuck onto a pre-existing track ?

SAJ - Bloody ace, I could happily listen to a 10 min version of that
