Well yes but compare to hospitalisations and deaths (i.e. see how the curves in the graphs below for the last wave in January were all in sync but this time they are not.)

Cases way up, hospital very slightly up (but less critical patients and shorter stays in hospital), deaths remain low.

That said, it does feel like a big leap into the unknown. Things looked much better about a month ago.

Please stay safe, UK members. I fear this reopening will be bad. 😷

A lot of monthly electronic nights and special events that were coming up are now streaming rather than occurring in a live social setting. There are too many events make a dedicated topic for each one, so let's post them here and WATMM's can tune in as they happen.
So I'll start. Vic Acid is a monthly braindance series in Victoria B.C, Canada organised by Hrdvsion. Tonight's edition is streaming now (in light of the social distancing directive) for the next few hours. Tune in here:

So As these occur to you all just keep posting them so we can tune in during our evening Internet browsings!

Languishing is not merely in our heads — it’s in our circumstances. You can’t heal a sick culture with personal bandages. We still live in a world that normalizes physical health challenges but stigmatizes mental health challenges. As we head into a new post-pandemic reality, it’s time to rethink our understanding of mental health and well-being. “Not depressed” doesn’t mean you’re not struggling. “Not burned out” doesn’t mean you’re fired up. By acknowledging that so many of us are languishing, we can start giving voice to quiet despair and lighting a path out of the void.

Thomas Dolby's kids (god I feel old) created a parody song based on his 1982 song, "Europa and the Pirate Twins":
Here's the video for the original song:
