This package also comes with the complete Ava Luna vs. Concrète Sound System Soundtrack on CD A remake of the no-wave-meets-hard-soul EP Services by Brooklyn’s AVA LUNA, Concrète Sound System’s Primus Luta reinterprets singer Carlos Hernandez’s lyrics to tell the tale of an ex-con in an heiress love triangle, over a soulful caterwaul of live electronic stylings, which have…

This isn't brand new anymore, but couldn't find a topic on it, so thought I'd give a heads up to those of you who haven't heard it. I got it a few months ago but don't think I listened to it then. Found it again now that I bought the new Altar Of Plagues album and suddenly remembered it. Wife is the solo project of the writer/singer in that band, but quite different from the black metal he usually makes. Really enjoying the EP, and hope there is more to come! Not sure if anyone on here has followed these guys previously but they make what could be referred to as "electro-pop" but with more of an edge. Don't worry, they're from Copenhagen so it's not cheesy. You can hear the new album over at everyone's favourite trendy-site (and rather nicely presented it is too, scroll along to the right on the page). For those of you who would like to know what they are about, here's one of my favourites form their last album, "Konkylie", although, this isn't really indicative of their sound. You can stream the new album here:- http://pitchfork.com/advance/118-infinity-pool/

Coma have quietly been releasing some of the best colourful, pop-infused techno on Kompakt over the past couple of years. This is their debut album (out earlier this month) Has anybody been listening to this? Electronic pop/house/disco/techno in typical Kompakt style. Really nice stuff, especially for the summer!

"karsten pflum has a very eclectic discography spanning over ten years, with music that varies wildly in approach and execution, exploring and stretching the boundaries and possibilities of electronica. after his last release, the complex and rhythmic 'no noia my love', karsten has shifted his musical direction towards dark and minimalistic ambient but without forgetting his idm-based past. 'sleepwald' features 14 beat deficient tracks - a fascinating look into a rare side of this artist's output." "'sleepwald' is an ambitious and creative exercise in surrealist soundscaping. gently ebbing, flowing synth lines and majestic strings yearn over echoing, rhythmic dripping…

"To launch the new website and to warm up for "When Can", Kettel & Secede have prepared a little mix of tunes that have colored the fields of their inspiration over the past months. The mix does not feature any actual tracks from the album because When Can is best presented in it's own, strange habitat. So you have to wait just a little bit longer for the songs. But we guess you're used to that ;). The album is just about done and a release date will be announced soon. Jeroen Advocaat's artwork for When Can is featured as the current background." http://soundcloud.com/sending-orbs/kettelsecedemix12 http://www.sendingor...ecede-when-can/

"It’s been more than five years since erstwhile Parisienne, now Spanish resident Cécile Schott (aka Colleen) released her last studio album,Les Ondes Silencieuses, the third in a widely acclaimed series of ethereal but compelling instrumental opuses recorded for the Leaf label. Those albums found the versatile composer-performer’s music evolving from sensitively applied ‘organic’ electronica (using discreet sampling, looping, etc…) toward analogue musical arcana (interleaved music boxes, bowed and plucked viola da gamba – the Renaissance period proto-cello – and more). Critics swooned at her compositional ingenuity and melodic ingenuousness, and audiences flocked to Colle…

Lunks - Lunks EP
by Guest troniks- 0 replies
- 1.2k views
Lunks is a "fresh" french duo where Electronica, Deep, Techno and Jazz are the main aesthetic directions. Complex polyrhythms and scale progressions are the building blocks of their first groovy EP. The two tracks draw a connection between two parallel sound dimensions. A deep bassline and resonant chords are floating asynchronously through the "Magellanic Clouds". The sound space is maximized on "Massaz" with many cosmic pads and dark atmospheric synth. Syncopated and ragtime beats accentuate catchy choruses and produce an original fusion between melodic lines and synchronized patterns. Tracks : 1- Magellanic clouds 2- Massaz http://soundcloud.com/lu…

No mention of this? I got the first album pretty fast, sort of liked it, seemed a bit hip and a bit fluffy but ok. Never bothered or heard the second album for reasons unknown. I've heard 3 tracks (2 singles and an album track) off the new album and they sound rather brilliant. Definately gonna buy it, the reviews also seem to confirm my suspiscions that this coud be a classic. Your thoughts are more than welcome.

http://www.factmag.com/2013/05/16/oneohtrix-point-never-scores-sofia-coppolas-new-movie-the-bling-ring/ It’s Suntory time for Daniel Lopatin. Sofia Coppola has always had an ear for soundtracks, from the smart use of French dreamers Air in her debut The Virgin Suicides to the influential and quite eccentric soundtrack to 2003′s Lost in Translation. This time FACT favourite Daniel Lopatin (aka Oneohtrix Point Never) has been enlisted by Coppola to handle the score of her latest movie The Bling Ring, aided by her regular collaborator Brian Reitzell. While the duo only have a single track on the freshly announced official soundtrack album, there are still plenty o…

Didn't see any threads about this, Take's new alias Sweatson Klank's new album is pretty good... I'll agree the alias name is terrible, but the beats are super fresh. Lots of featured vocals, but not of anyone really well known, lot of West Coast vibes, a little R&B and overall the beats are really solid and well produced. I can see myself banging this one while rolling with the windows down a lot this summer... Check this one "Bed That"

Another great release from Parralax Sounds (Christ., Syntaks and many more). It sounds like a mix of Boards of canada, Bibio and Chapterhouse. Their debut album Phoenix asteroid is also good, but I think this album is much stronger! Found some nice samples from the album on their soundscloud. 1. https://soundcloud.com/ecovillage/ecovillage-blissfully-yours 2. https://soundcloud.com/ecovillage/ecovillage-telepathy 3. https://soundcloud.com/ecovillage/ecovillage-summer-of-love
