Ulrich Schnauss & Kirsty Hawkshaw - Two Trees

An EP that he's produced with Kirsty Hawkshaw, which will be called Two Trees. Here's a radio show that features three tracks from that EP, and two tracks (after Here Today Gone Tomorrow) that are apparantly from Ulrich's next solo album. Everything's sounding gorgeous, and the two new tracks harken back to A Strangely Isolated Place.. Anyways, here's the link: Ulrich Shcnauss + Kirsty Hawkshaw radio show

This is possibly my favourite release of the year so far, comes particularly recommended for fans of FSOL/The Orb/similar sample-based ambient stuff, and I've heard BoC comparisons to the second half of the album. "Expanding on the his earlier ambient, atmospheric electronic music, The Moment starts in a calm unprepossessing manner with 3 ambient tracks before settling into a pattern of lightly toned ambient electronic music with a slightly poppy theme. One element of the album is the extended use of untampered field recordings which complement the ambience greatly. The album does change in tone and genre from beginning to end but is held together via the samples an…

don't usually go for indie rock soundtracks, but this one fit the mood of the film perfectly. from the Plumtree song that gave the series its name, to acts like Frank Black & T. Rex it's a good mix of real and fictional music. from what i could see in the credits, Beck wrote most of the fake bands' music which is a good mix of post punk and garage rock. give it a chance, even if you're not 16, lol.

Their last album "Attack & Release" was good but it was too polished due to Dangermouse's production.
