Basically the topic title. What do you do for work? Do you have a job? Are you a student? Did you get a degree for your job? Are you happy with your job? What is your dream job? Jesus, so many questions. But ultimately... Are you happy with your life?

Unless one of the many 90s cartoon superheroes can save us. Without even knowing what the danger is, who would you trust to save us all and why?

Fucking awesome animated show. was called "James Bond meets Arrested Development". I find it fucking hilarious. Got like 3 or 4 cast members from AD and H Jon Benjamin, among others. Hilarious.

I see that a lot of watmmers are playing this game so I think that a separate thread is necesarry to discuss Tribes. Discuss it here. What class/role are you playing? What are your biggest achievement? etc. Atm I'm playing soldier mostly light defense, chasing and ocasional capping or base distrubtion. I've played most of the time with a jugernaut, but I started to hate being so fat and heavy and not be able to fly or duel decently. I just bought the spinfusor and the eagle pistol. Saving xp for utility pack now. Or maybe raiders grenade laucher, I kinda like raider but the buster is hard to use if you're not too skilled. I got quatra kill in arena yesterd…

So like, something IDM must have happened in the past year. Maybe the search function will start working in 2013? Every year there seems to be complaints that there is never enough time to get nominations listed, so start your ideas flowing. *EDIT* Search function still returns "no results" despite me tagging this topic with IDM

I'm so excited about this. Mass Effect 2 was probably the best game I've ever played. And ME3 looks like it's going to top that. More info on mass effect wiki

uk is currently going nuts over horse meat in ready made beef products. even 100% horse found in so called 'beef' lasagna. quite funny. is it the norm to see horse on your supermarket shelves where you come from? i see the US and canada produce a fair bit for consumption... is it nice? i've never tried it. personally i don't see why it's off-limits to us... i mean a horse is more or less just a fitter cow and we breed cows to be even less athletic, no?

So after talking to an agent for months, i've started photographing jewelry for amazon.com. My first day was monday last week. The studio is amazing. It started in january but there are already well over 12 tabletop setups for shooting shoes, handbags, and clothing, and 6 jewelry setups equipped with turntables for shooting stills and 360 degree videos of each piece of jewelry. This is definitely one of the coolest real jobs i've had. I may have lost a lot of my free time compared to photo assisting, but the steady work is definitely nice, and i'm making a better day rate than i ever have before. It's kind of a relief, after working freelance for so long, to have the peac…

First things first, ya i know read the rules. Been there done that. Besides I'm not new, been here before, quite awhile ago, i made those dumb baseball cards out of WATMM members. Anyways, my question. So I'm thinking of pursuing a new hobby, what that deals with a lot of devotion to time. Doesn't matter what it is but do u "the watmm members" think with patience, time, and most importantly devotion can learn just about anything without any prior schooling. As in college. It's not feasible for me to go to school, but I want to self educate myself through books, online videos, tutorials, and whatnot. Now i'm not talking about building a spacecraft that will get me …

Writing a short biography about yourself 1 2

So I'm submitting a track of mine to be reviewed by a few industry professionals within the next few weeks. Unfortunately I have to have to submit with it a promotional pic and a biography, which is pretty much impossible to write. I'm sure many people here have had to endure the same thing, so how do you go about writing about yourself? No matter what I try the writings come off as either incredibly fragile and egotistical, or pretentiously flippant and too self-aware. Maybe self-promotion just isn't for me, but in times where everyone is a creative in some capacity I guess it's unavoidable that you have to sell yourself somehow. Anyone got any previous experiences / adv…

tolstoy was quite outspoken and angered many with his words of wisdom against government, warfare, money, and the church. he was against the church, yet his beliefs were centered around the true meaning of what the church was (is) trying to hide and control (manipulate), use for power and control over humanity instead of goodwill for all humanity. leo tolstoy was an eloquent, revolutionary with many brilliant things to say. "Money is a new form of slavery, distinguishable from the old simply by the fact that there is no human relation between master and slave." "Slavery is taking the fruit of another's labor by force, whether the force is based on owne…

The Official Lose 100 Pounds Thread 1 2 3

I'm a bit overweight right now. Is anyone else trying to burn some extra blubber? I was thinking we could try to collectively lose 100 pounds. If you want to participate you could start by posting your starting and target weight, and then once a week or so you can post your updates, share weight loss plans, recipes, and whatever. I also think you should give yourself a fat-person moniker. For those of you in kg, I don't know. You need to use a converter. So it goes like this: Name: Flubber Start Weight: 160 Target Weight: 145 Total Losses: 0

So i went to this bar/venue in San Francisco called Brick and Mortar last night to see a shoegaze band called LSD and the Search for God. At the door, because i wasn't 21, i had to pay a $5 "drink ticket." I literally said "are you kidding me" to the doorman as a kneejerk reaction and he got a little pissy but let me in anyway after i payed the 5 bucks. Have any of you had to pay such a fee? I know convenience/processing fees are bullshit but what was i actually buying? The ability to enter a bar underage? Was i buying an alcoholic beverage that i wouldn't be able to drink?
