Antivirus software recommendations 1 2

I have been using Avira free antivirus for some years now. It has always done a good job, was light and not that annoying. Until now, because the new version keeps popping up advertising and i can't stand that. Also it is time for me to get a new antivirus, a decent one. I want the lightest possible, smooth, no advertising, FREE, you know the deal. Is there any kind of open source antivirus software? Every software on my computer is pretty much open source at this point.. (i am running WIN7 x64, on Intel core duo @2.10GHz, 4gb ram memory and google as browser) edit: besides what i already mentioned, Avira has been updating an awful lot lately!!

Alright guys looking for some help with internet explorer.... I accidentally hit the save button when entering my banking information, and now my account info and password are saved. Anytime I go to the Royal Bank website, it puts in my account info etc automatically. I have turned off autocomplete entirely, and deleted stored passwords according to all procedures I have found online. But IE still fucking autocompletes using my account information! Does anyone know how to turn this shit off? It's a work/shared computer. Can't have my co-workers stealing my millions (hundreds)

"Most feature filmmakers shy away from acknowledging overt political messages in their films, hiding behind platitudes such as "I just wanted to tell the best story" or "I'd rather let others be the ones to interpret my work." "Not 'Killing Them Softly' writer-director Andrew Dominik and his star-producer, Brad Pitt, who offered with frankness -- both in the film and at a Cannes Film Festival news conference that followed on Tuesday morning -- their unfavorable opinion of capitalism as recently practiced in the U.S." "Everything you need to know about Dominik's worldview came with a moment in the news conference in which the Australian said that in his…

Things look really shaky lately for the US home entertainment markets. A round of sales right before the holidays doesn't bode well for our economy. Apparently OnLive was dissolved today, and will become a "new" company after a near bankruptcy.

The title basically explains everything, what have you guys used and were they decent? And on a side note, if by some bizarre miracle my website became stupidly popular and I bought the service for three years what would stop them from screwing me over if I wanted to renew?

have you ever noticed how cute google is sometimes? for instance, earlier, i googled anagram. now you know when you misspell a word, and it says "did you mean: ", well, after i searched anagram, it said, "do you mean: nag a ram"? hah - i get it! and they are always putting up special little google logos for everyone to enjoy. remember when google was pacman? that was international news it was. they showed up on the scene, and basically reinvented the internet, and its totally different now, thanks to eric schmidt. they gave us the google search engine, google maps, google earth, gmail, googel videos, and oh so much more now sure, they are spying on absolutel…

A few nights ago (3 to be precise) I had a strange and unsettling (to put it extremely lightly) sensation which after looking into I can only assume was a panic attack. I was lying on my bed browsing the web on the laptop waiting for my girlfriend to get home. I was tired (it was about midnight), but other than that and the fact I was slightly worrying about her being annoyed at me for not going out with her and her friend I felt absolutely fine, then suddenly I bolted upright and felt a powerful pressure in/on/around my chest, which I now assume was a heart palpitation. As well as that I felt it spread over my body (I remember particularly feeling it down my right ar…

This is separate from the futbol thread, general chat and opinions. Anyone lookin forward to Underworld opening the event? Also the other musical gigs; New Order, Coldplay etc. Is EU getting the 3D broadcast like the US? What events u going to watch blah blah for Londonites, how will this event fuck up your life for the next several weeks? The only US news coverage we're getting sonfar is rooftop missiles, lack of security, poor planning, rainy weather etc etc

The medical journal The Lancet ranked 122 countries based on inactivity. The top 20 laziest countries are: 1) Malta 2)Swaziland 3)Saudi Arabia 4)Serbia 5)Argentina 6)Micronesia 7)Kuwait 8)Great Britain 9)United Arab Emirates 10)Malaysia 11)Japan 12)Dominican Republic 13)Namibia 14)Iraq 15)Turkey 16)Cyprus 17)Italy 18)Ireland 19)South Africa 20)Bhutan The U.S ranked 46th and Greece was last. Who knows how accurate this is, but the potential false correlation that Greece's financial woes = laziest, when they are apparently least lazy, is interesting. http://www.metro.co....aturing-britain
