Its 2am. There's no fuckin fire. No fuckin smoke. I changed the fuckin battery (it's even going off with the battery out). I closed all the windows (the windows were open before and it smelled a little smokey out) and pointed a fuckin fan at that shit and it's still going off. WTF?!?!? It is soo fuckin loud and shrill. good lord. im not claustrophobic but that was very tight. the edge of the tube was about 5" from my face. (that's what she said) but it wasn't really how tight it was, it was the sounds. man alive, the sounds were horribly loud. at first i didnt think i could make it through the whole exam, which is 35 minutes. then the noises started to layer and they got very autechrian. it was insane, i just kept trying to find the rhythm in it. has anyone ever been through this space odyssey torture device?

There's a general strike scheduled for Thursday, and most citywide public transportation is expected to be inoperative during that day. I was supposed to go to my brother's gig tonight; he's in a jazz band and I take photos for him and others every now and then. The nightlife in my city is pretty rough, so I know that's a strong factor right off the bat for feeling pretty uncomfortable (read unsafe). I was probably at this club for about two minutes before I had to leave - I couldn't deal with the amount of people there, what I'm supposed to do there. I just left, said I had to catch a train.
