"Unearthed by our friends at Rephlex. Mysterious Washington Techno record label resurrected for a reissue of insanely rare and sought-after 'Photodementia' Project, a few white labels of which were originally distributed via specialists such as Black Market Records & Sonic Groove in the mid 90's. The Brainchild of Canadian-born Victor Beaudet, one time collaborator with Richard Davis of legendary band Cybertron and his partner, New Orleans' born Bernard Davies (R.I.P.) The album conjures memories of the first Drexciya & Dopplereffekt Projects, or perhaps AFX's Analogue Bubblebath, Kraftwerk ' Computer World' etc. Some snippets of audio have appeared on youtube in recent months and have met with resoundingly superb feedback from the fans."

Too bad it's released on Rephlex. Questionable distribution. No digital download outside of the Bermuda Triangle based rephlex.com. Good music though. RDJ once wrote a track about it. Crappy.

edit: on a positive note, at least we can pirate it! :har:

I know a guy who had this since 1998. You would have to order some floppies from an underground electro fanzine, in order to play them you had to press a special key combination at boot at a specific time of the day, the unique key would be snail-mailed to you with the floppies to which you had to decipher in under 808 seconds before it self-decomposed, if you were successful an address mail would show on your computer screen from which you would then order the vinyl from. Just to show you how rare and elite this release was, thankfully it has finally been reissued to the delight of millions of fans who begged for a reissue of this record upon hearing short clips on youtube.
