Applying architectural principles to everything but actual architecture gets my vote.

It's got undertones of autism, being anti-social and an introvert. It sounds like architects might have neckbeards too so... there's that

Usually that's not allowed. But the topic states applying architectural principles to everything but architecture.

So you could totally do a track about the architecture of a bagel.

For Olympus Mons, I kinda feel like the resulting album would be like Rogue Planets, only way more so, which would be pretty amazing.

If Uli had won and you submitted that, I'd probably have thought it was too Incomplete Skyscrapers, and given it a lower score. Dunno about the other judges though.

Killer Incomplete Skyscrapers track though. Gets stuck in my head all the time.

Architectural design principles include (but are not restricted to):-

Balance

Connection

Contrast

Emphasis

Form

Grouping

Imagery

Meaning

Symbolism

Pattern

Placement

Proximity

Proportion

Rhythm

Scale

Unity

Variety

Well if we can't make a decent compilation out of that, I think its time to give up making music and just send each other bagels in the post.

Gonna be a close one. Olympus Mons is cool but I think we have enough space related wins. Architectural Principles could be an interesting topic so imma vote that.

This race is neck and neck.

Just so everyone knows, Olympus Mons is a different space mountain than the ones referenced by Ae. The Ae track is called IO, so it probably is referencing mountains on IO. Olympus Mons is on Mars.

This is Tohil Mons, a mountain on IO: 1280px-Tohil_Monsstructure.jpg

Olympus Mons pulls into the lead, but it's still close

Can Applying architectural principles to everything but actual architecture muster up the business principles and design acumen needed to make up the lost ground?

Huh just found out that one of my recent discoveries (by which I mean, I only found out about it recently) did a track called Olympus Mons: http://www.discogs.com/Palancar-Elysium-Planitia/release/2912780

Not really relevant I suppose, but he does make some fantastic ambient.
