I think I forgot Squarepusher - Damogen Furies from my list. Worth it for the last minute of Baltang Ort alone.

Such a well crafted album - sonically, harmonically, melodically, and rhythmically.

Sadly i didnt listen to the latest OPN & Sunno))) yet but some of my favorite "records" were actually digital series :

- AE LIVE

- Spire live archive (bandcamp release, including Fennesz, Philip Jeck, BJ Nilsen recordings)

- Aphex soundcloud mess

I can't really say what my favourites albums of the year are. Been shitty year overall and just hasn't found any enjoyment in things. I guess some highlights of the few new albums I got around to listening to.

Jute Gyte - Dialectics

Chelsea Wolfe - Abyss

phase90 - Infinitati and the various Variant releases from echospace

Moritz von Oswald Trio - Sounding Lines (now featuring afrobeat legend Tony Allen on the drums)

Sensient - Projekt Grunberg

Ufomammut - Ecate

Probably some others that I haven't gotten around to listening to yet.

fuck, this year's been great. Syro is still golden, ODS ain't too shabby. AE_LIVE is monolithic, two quality Cylob albums, and there's a grip of other high-quality music that's been released. Schwarze Riesenfalter on Erstwhile Records, and Another Timbre (label) is on fire. Rutger Zuydervelt + Dirk Serries made a great ambient album called "Buoyant," and Joseph Clayton Mills put out "Sifr"

garden of delete is good music for teenagers, riding around on toy segways, Instagram and shit. are people really feeling those songs?

Blackalicious - Imani Vol. 1

Cannibal Ox - Blade of the Ronin

Modest Mouse - Strangers to Ourselves

Oneohtrix Point Never - Garden of Delete

I'm so busy acquainting myself with older music I missed that I'm missing all the new music.

Of the music I heard this year that was actually released this year, I enjoyed the new Holly Herndon, OPN, Squarepusher, Clutch, the two RDJ releases... I vaguely recall last year saying one of my resolutions was to get acquainted with more new music, but that clearly didn't pan out. I've only heard one of the Ae soundboards. It was good. The new Faith No More was prob my favorite of 2015 that I heard, followed by Squarepusher.

Clutch are still going? Well shit, looks like I've got 10 years of albums to catch up on.

I'd like to know just how many segway riding, instagramming teenagers are listening to 0pn. I assume it's all 30+ yr olds with catholic tastes in culture like myself.

Lil Ugly Mane - Oblivion Access

haven't gotten this myself yet, but was listening in a friends house over the holidays, great stuff.

I actually thought 2015 was quite poor... I didn't hear too many things that would've cracked into a "Best of 2014" list... I thought far and away the best things I heard this year were Jessica Pratt's "On Your Own Love Again" and King Midas Sound / Fennesz "Edition 1"...

Soundcloud dumps for the win. And the various bandcamp dumps. My album of the year isn't from the past year though, as music of the year for me is from any era and I made contact with some insane late disco this year, but that ain't adhering to the concept, maybe the vsnares thanksyou album, but I go back to like 3 tracks, so that's not album. I still haven't heard the new vibert one that probably would have been up there.

hhrrrmm sorry for punking up your thread.
