Barr seems very much like a competent candidate, if you ask me. Perhaps some conservative ideas. Although I'm sure he's pretty liberal if you compare him to Sessions. But given his comments, he doesn't strike me as a guy will be taught by Trump on how law according to Trump should work. My only real issue with his answers - as far as i've seen - is his comment on how to deal with advice from the ethics lawyer. If the ethics department says "no, don't do it", he still sees a reason to make up his own mind and come to a different conclusion if he sees the facts differently. That's just ... no. Big no.
