I was just at an easter party where I set up an easter egg hunt for a bunch of kids, about 3 boys and 4 girls. The boys were generally a bit obnoxious, dominating the easter egg hunt, getting all the eggs, while complaining they hadn't gotten nearly enough and refusing to share, etc. These boys were around grade 2 age, by the way. Probably normal behaviour for their age. Anyway, when I was about to leave, I realized I had left something in the basement. When I went down, I saw the three boys down there horsing around. Anyway, before I even saw them, I heard one of them yell "FUCK HIM IN THE BUTT!". When I turned the corner into view, they froze and looked at me. One o…

who the hell wants these things? why do (now) 2 of my neighbours have them in their kitchen? it makes your house look haunted/stupid I can understand it in your bedroom - maybe it's like f.lux for real life, but god, why the kitchen? you are confusing me and I will not waste my time judging whether you're weird or your house is on fire

Do you guys think if we spent enough time in a thought experiment wherein the passage of time occurred at a rate 100 times faster than reality, we could simply describe what's around us until, next year, after 100 virtual years had passed, we could just pick and choose cool highly advanced technologies that are already existing in our thought experiment and then invent them in reality? *walks around thought experiment wearing the google glasses*

I'm glad. I was looking at the latest msPaint thread. Then it occured to me that it might be nice to muck around using my left hand to create a pic for the thread. So i tried to find accessories in the programs bit of the start view. Sure i'd read about how to get there in the past, but the way eluded me and i had the link saved in firefix (lol), so installed the overlay. Thanks to gord. Things are now where they should be, pre 7/xp/vista stylee (you have the option to choose whatever). http://www.classicshell.net/

I don't know what made me think of it, but on the plane ride home two days ago I remembered being in sixth grade, on the soccer team. (I was a fat, sucky sports player as a kid but at my school you had to play on every seasonal sports team -- soccer, then lacrosse, then cross country, then basketball. Lacrosse was my favorite because I felt like Mega Man in my helmet and bluky blue pads and gloves. I played every game to a soundtrack of 'pew pew pew!' in my mind.) And it was the first play of the game, the other team kicking off. I was ready to go, in right midfield, cleated up with my shinguards and socks pulled over them, Umbros crusty from all the precum slathered …

First of all, hi. This is the first thread i've made in about a year. Hi. Secondly, dude, wtf? Did yall hear about Kevin Ware yet? Yesterday this young basketball player jumped up to block a basketball, and when he landed, his leg frickin exploded inside and then collapsed and then he was on the ground all leg dangly and it looked like some world war 2 faces of death shit. It was the most surreal sports injury I've ever seen. I feel bad for the kid, get well soon Kevin. Now check out the video! [youtubehd]Os7HP7F60vo[/youtubehd]

The day where all lame joke acceptable and you don't trust a living soul. What has happened to you today/so far? Or in your country, the news, whatever. Personally, I woke up to this note from my mom. The note says "Good morning. There's pancakes in the fridge for you. Hug, mom". The sign says: "April fools. Hahhahaha, Have a good day". I saw, I wept, I replied. Why, oh why did I fall for it.

So I walk into the local drug store the other day to print some photos on one of these do-it-yourself-machines. I notice somebody's forgotten their little panda-shaped USB-Stick in the slot! - Naturally, I don't give in to curiosity but immediately inform staff about it, never to find out what's on it.............. So when I pop it into my PC at home, I find there is only about 100 KB of data on it, three pictures: an emo-couple kissing and posing for the camera. I try to do a google image-backwards-search on the pictures but am left with zero results. The file name doesn't get me anywhere either. So I'm thinking, mystery unsolved, but yay, free USB-Stick. Yeste…

I've been clearing out some old stuff from the loft and garage and gear still at my parents from when I was a kid and came across my old consoles and computers. Feeling nostalgic, I managed to find all the leads, controllers and power supplies and hooked them up one by one to see if they still worked. At this point I had decided I was gonna sell them to clear space and raise some cash. When I started playing however, all notions of selling were gone. These games from yesteryear are awesome. Some of them might look dated but these are truly addictive. I found : 2 Spectrums with about 400 games. I haven't tried all of them out but the ones I do still work ! Must be…

Flatmate woes 1 2 3

Yo, Came home today to find housemate's boyfriend sitting in the living room with his laptop set up and using it as a study. He'd been there all day while she was at work. I'm not seeking advice, I know what I'm doing. It will be a polite conversation about how she's a lovely flatmate, they're a lovely couple, but there are boundaries etc. Just interested to know what other people's boundaries are. I tend to work on the principle of 3 nights a week max, but they are guests, the flatmate takes full responsibility for them and that there is never any need for them to be staying over at the house on their own. Reasonable?

Good evening, WATMM. The winner of the 7th annual MOST IDM tournament is the rogue planet named CFBDSIR_2149-0403 freely drifting in outer space after being ejected from orbit. I have started a thread in EKT for the tribute album, so head on down there for more information. The deadline for track submission in June 1st. Let's make some music! We're also looking for album art. If you have some ideas for the album art, please post them in the EKT thread. I've also posted links to the past MOST IDM tribute albums, in case you've not yet got them.

Last round, Bioluminescent trees beat Broken GIFs in an epic comeback and an epic upset. The Rogue planet beat the equally seeded Homeless people with 808s in a landslide. Now the two final players are facing off: The Rogue planet vs Bioluminscent trees. Who will be crowned winner, and go down in history as the MOST IDM in the 7th annual most idm tournament? The bracketology can be viewed here. I'll be closing this round on March 27th.
