http://www.xojane.com/it-happened-to-me/it-happened-to-me-contest-entry-my-partner-came-out-as-trans-while-i-was-pregnant Am I weird for thinking that the former-husband-now-wife is an asshole for not coming out sooner and the wife's reactions is oddly accepting? Like, if I got knocked up and the baby daddy told me he wanted to be the baby mommy three months in, I would feel betrayed and I'd probably get an abortion and cut all ties with the person. How could you have a kid and a relationship with a person who wasn't honest about their gender (of all things) before they decided to figuratively bind your lives together by procreating with you!? And note that the author…

So I've been thinking of moving out to my wife's family's place in the countryside, once my baby is born. Figured it would be a great place to raise a kid, clean water, nature, etc. Last night I was talking to my wife and I figured I'd ask "I know your dad sprays his rice with pesticide, do you know what he uses?" I figured this being China, he might use some nasty shit. So she calls her mom and asks. "Oh, it's just something called DDT" lol. sigh. Fucking corporations, I swear. Banned in US, but happy to sell overseas.

I watched a video Hoodie posted in youtube thread in which a girl is informed by a police officer that she has just killed someone. If you were in this girl's position, how would you react? How do you comprehend death? How does the thought effect you? And how does the thought of causing a person's death affect you?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/defence/9797738/British-stealth-drone-to-undergo-first-test-flight.html Bryant was one of them, and he remembers one incident very clearly when a Predator drone was circling in a figure-eight pattern in the sky above Afghanistan, more than 10,000 kilometers (6,250 miles) away. There was a flat-roofed house made of mud, with a shed used to hold goats in the crosshairs, as Bryant recalls. When he received the order to fire, he pressed a button with his left hand and marked the roof with a laser. The pilot sitting next to him pressed the trigger on a joystick, causing the drone to launch a Hellfire missile. There were 16 …

So, I've finally started writing my master thesis about ambient music and dreams and how things can be visually and auditorily out of focus - at least according to me. Anyway, not long ago I was told that when people started making movies Sigmund Freud freaked out, because he felt that this was the only way we could recreate dreams. I was told that he was fascinated by the "point of view from nowhere" and so on, but here's the problem... I can't find anything about this anywhere at all, so I was wondering if any of you guys could point me in the right direction? Pwease?

just finished episode 2 of the first season. i am hooked, immediately, and find myself enjoying this show more than i've ever enjoyed a tv show, including the wire and sopranos. the music, the feeling, the script, the acting, the plot - just all around entertainment and IDM mood synthesizers, weird 90s direction, cool characters, and brilliant conspiracy plotlines - amazing that something like this was popular at one point in time - and on Fox? check it out. so far it's been great, and i've only seen the first two! on to the next.

No other musician and DJ has contributed to so much happiness in the heart of the average person. We need someone to inspire everybody to keep struggling through the hardship and the mess. We need someone like Tiesto. The greatest DJ to ever grace the planet Earth.

the directors of the james bond movies have an unspoken agreement where every movie title is an anagram of a perverted sexual act. they have wagers to see who can come up with the most fucked-up anagram.

Tonight, I was killing time before a movie by going for a little stroll on Fairfax. It's a little happening strip of shops and restaurants, right where the Odd Future guys have their clothing store. Anyway, I had just walked past Canter's Deli and was approaching the corner, minding my own business, when some well-dressed, 50 year old douchebag rounds the corner and elbows me in the arm, hard. It's not like we bumped into each other, or brushed arms. He tensed his arm up and elbowed me, and it hurt. He kept walking and I stopped and turned around and shouted "Excuse me!", to which he smugly replied "What!?". I then shouted "What the fuck was that?!" and he proudly …

A few possible answers: - someone who never accomplishes anything ? - someone who never accomplishes anything he wants to ? - someone who has no friends ? Someone posted this a couple years ago, but I haven't been able to find it since. It looks like it's probably from the 70s if I had to guess, Eastern European probably, maybe around 10 minutes long. It consists of four men on a sliding board, with a treasure chest or something desirable in the middle. Every time one of them moves, the board shifts with the change in weight. I feel like they originally got the treasure with fishing poles or something as well. As the short goes on, the men try to manipulate the board to get to the treasure and make each other fall off. It ends with a man on one end of the board and the treasure on the other. All the other men have b…

I havent seen it yet, but I'm already getting reports that the massively hyped $170,000,000 tron movie sucks. Can anyone offer a personal perspective on this? I would also like to remind the court that there's only one sci-fi movie in the last decade that even arguably lived up to its massive hype. Care to guess which movie I'm referring to?

Regardless of whether you like them or not, this is a real nail in the coffin for UK music. Being the last music retailer left in the UK highstreet, many would say that HMV were the downfall of Our Price, MVC, fopp and countless independent stores up and down the UK. And if a buyer is not found for the existing HMV stores, many towns will now be left without a dedicated music store. But I would say in many ways they have brought it on themselves. Their online presence is poor, definitely not kept up with Amazon / Play etc... They seemed to be selling more computer games, puzzles, t-shirts and gadgets than actual music / movies. The oxford store is hideously dis…
