stupid first world problems you're dealing with

I'm pretty sure I got the same mother's day card for my mom this year that i did last year.  ? She likes this certain brand of cards that have really nice covers and as a plus have short but sweet sentiments in the inside. All the other mother's day cards have really cheesy drawn out messages that make me want to gag.

So I had this project file that was killing my pc. You know what it feels like. Just harsh noize upon playing due to overload. Idiot me thought that buying an extra 8 Gb of RAM would make it faster, but I didn't notice that the CPU load was 99% which is the problem. So I wasted money on a RAM which didn't help but sort of helps anyway if you're doing other things on your computer besides musics.

Just use the freeze function on tracks you are not working on currently

FL 11 doesn't have that function as far as I know. You can only render certain tracks in a WAV to ease the CPU load but it's so fucking tedious and I hate doing it, besides I tend to make alterations to the pattern / instrument until the very end

FWP1: hair sprouting outta my earlobes.  wtf.  Actually noticed this happening quite a while back, but the rate at which it grows back is alarming.  We're talking pube sized hairs.  I shudder just typing that out.  No idea exactly when this started happening.  Are you 20-somethings dealing with this BS yet?

In my early 40s and am on the more hirsute side of the spectrum, so I speak from experience - just come at it with whatever tools you have, tweeze or trim or w/e.  Part of getting older has been switching from "must destroy" mode to ok manage.

NPR's Morning Edition changed their theme song and I am really fucking bummed out about it. I'm usually one to accept change, or at least come to terms with it, but this one is a really hard pill to swallow. It's like seeing an old diner or pub demolished or renovated completely. It's a familiar comfort removed from my morning, one I've had around me since I was a kid.

What's made it hurt even more is that NPR has slipped into this gradual state of increased mediocrity. They've perpetually put out good in-depth features, niche stories and decent arts and & culture coverage but the news content and political coverage went from CSPAN and BBC standards - dry, muted, but substantive and with teeth - to the same complacent and superficial tone of the cable news and American major networks. No more "the world is going to shit, but here's how to at least feel informed about it" it's like "is the world going to shit, and if so why not enjoy it! meet the instagram hashtaggers redefining the idea of corporate media being a bad thing." The new music pairs with that vibe - ersatz of the original coupled with overtly safe and marketed appeal. I hate it.

Do they still use that old Four Tet track for segues?  I like Four Tet even, yet that shit got real tired real fast.  It reminds me of years ago when I'd occasionally tune in to a morning sports talk station *shudders* and they'd do this news banter segment every day, during which the instrumental of Korn's Freak on a Leash would be playing at low volume in the background, every day.  Day after day without fail.  Made me wonder whether the jocks had to endure it as well or if it was just for the listeners.

Anyway your second part is spot on, I don't listen to NPR much anymore but the news coverage definitely feels neutered these days.  Like how Fox made the transition to hardcore pornography so gradually that I barely noticed.

Sugar ants? I had those the other day in my living room feasting off a tortilla chip that had fallen on the floor. If you get rid of the food source they disappear has fast as they came.

i got a tv and it's too big

(currently obsessed with CRT and the 34cm one i found in someone's garbage which was great for awhile has developed some nasty electrical buzzing and whistling, so been keeping an eye out for another better one. i specifically want it really small, i like the vibe and that's what i have space for. they seem rare around here.. finally found one nearby, listed as 34cm.. bought it.. went to pick it up and it's like twice the size, lol. whaddya gonna do)

Is it a flatscreen crt? The later tech ones had hd component and vga ports on. Great picture, so vibrant.

nah neither of these are flatscreen, though the small dying one has component and yess, looks awesome. it'd been many years since i used em, had forgotten how good they look. but i'm fine with composite and even mono audio, just really want 34cm-ish size :)

doing a long run of nightshifts atm and it always affects me physically. I'm 5 nights in of a total of 8 and ulcers have erupted all over the right side of my cheek and tongue. Despite the bags of oranges I've been consuming. Also I've done something to my big toe on my right foot and can't bend it, meaning I'm walking like a pirate.

Still, I have a month off after this so IDGAFFFFFFFFF

twice this week - once at work, once at home - i've discovered multiple baby spiders crawling on me, sometimes hanging off the rim of my hat, sometimes on my arms and hands, sometimes on my clothes. i get pretty damn dirty at work but this is like there's an egg sac in my pocket. fuck off babies.

i woke up the other day with a big swollen bump on my head which i assume was a spider bite. i hope i ate it in my sleep, bastard! ?

According to the first 2 pages of this thread (couldn't be bothered to read any further) the issue persists with other wireless mice as well.
