"The narrative architect behind the Bourne film series, Tony Gilroy, takes the helm in the next chapter of the hugely popular espionage franchise that has earned almost $1 billion at the global box office: The Bourne Legacy. The writer/director expands the Bourne universe created by Robert Ludlum with an original story that introduces us to a new hero (Jeremy Renner) whose life-or-death stakes have been triggered by the events of the first three films. For The Bourne Legacy, Renner joins fellow series newcomers Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Stacy Keach and Oscar Isaac, while franchise veterans Albert Finney, Joan Allen, David Strathairn and Scott Glenn reprise their roles."

Despite the lack of Matt Damon, Ed Norton. Count me in.

Franchise names are just little signifiers to get a bigger budget or some shit. I bet it will be a kickass action movie. With Ed Norton.

I thought the Bourne movies were rather good super spy actions romps. The fights seemed the right amount of brutal and not some super choreographed fight ballet.

Renner is typecasting himself if he's also planning to take over Cruise in the Mission Impossible franchise. But don't mind, he can pull it off.

no, it's good? I find the idea of making a film about Dahmer kind of lol. I admit I'm curious to know if it's possible to draw an insightful, subtle, profound portrait of a guy who drilled holes in people's heads and poured acid inside to make them into sex slave zombies...

Renner was on a show before he was famous called It factor. Its amazing how successful hes become. Hes kind of bland in my opinion.

Damon is getting fat. if he lost weight he'd be fine

I don't see the appeal of Renner, he's funny looking and menacing, he sort of seems like a squat charmless version of Brendan Fraser. I liked The Hurt Locker but not especially because of him. He was a bit annoyingly one-dimensional in The Town.

I liked the Bourne films, but I'm done with it really. I'd credit it with giving some life to Casino Royale but if the next Bond one is a bit more grounded like that I'd rather see Daniel Craig punch someone very very hard in in the face and then walk off nonchalantly than Jeremy Renner.
