That new Furthur Electronix release sounds more up my street, looking forward to hearing them both in full

Thank you all for listening 🙂

This is a collection of travel tracks. They’ve been worked on ”on the road” and finished at home. Going out for gigs after lockdown/toddler years was a little shock to the system. I’ve been showered with empathy, love and hugs and had to get the emotions out somehow. I’m very pleased.

This thread caught my eye due to amusing "ultra-doula" title and then I pressed play and this stuff is brilliant

Been playing this a lot in the last couple weeks. Probably my fav RS material in recent times. ❤️

agreed. some of the tunes in the music packs are absolute all-timers, but as far as proper releases go, this is probably my fav rolando project since human touch.

EP of the year!

edit: did anyone get their vinyl from AF yet? i'm sure they said it would be out late september but my copy hasn't landed

Some of the best tunes seem to be made on the road!
I feel like I've read a lot of artist interviews saying an album of theirs I like was the result of a tour or travel sketches. There seems to be a strong correlation there. It's gotta be something about novel experiences lighting up the brain in cool ways that come out in art.
I've made some of my own more memorable little tracks on planes and trains, and away from home in general.

I also pulled the trigger on the AF vinyl a day after my prior post and no tracking info yet...

I haven’t got my copies yet either.

I think you nailed it there. I don’t particularly like the traveling bit but being in new places and meeting people does wonders for creativity. I was thinking the other day that the biggest upside to releasing music has to be occasionally waking up and having morning coffee in hyde park, then getting just the right amount of social interaction and feedback, and shortly thereafter returning home to my own little bubble with new tracks marinating. It’s a little input/output ecosystem that’s quite addictive.

I love talking to people about creative stuff all the time. I should add that I’m alone making stuff in an otherwise empty office building most of the time which should be a techno dream come true, but I REALLY need to get out a lot. I’ve become restless and more extroverted with age, I think.

Listened to this 2x today and it’s max lushness. Love the patient inclusion of breaks that kick tracks up a few notches in key places as well. Nice job burglar!
