got diablo 3 + expansion for PS4, even though i've already played through it once on PC when it was first released. probably one of the best games ever made in terms of gameplay. i couldn't care less about the story and lore etc. but the feeling of satisfaction when you take on 50+ mobs at once and they all just explode in a giant cloud of gore is almost on par with brutal doom.

Rogue Legacy was "free" on PS Plus this month. Pretty mediocre game overall and the whole pixelart thing is getting really tiresome.

I was pretty in love with spelunky and was looking forward to some other rogue platformer or etc. to sink into. Rogue Legacy just felt lazy and cash grabby, like some incomplete game that tacked on randomised rogue elements PLUS levelling up to make up for lack of balance. Worst part is it worked and it got a day 1 purchase from me in midst of roguelike mania. Hated that one. Totally "imo" tho! Few others realy got into it ..

Just finished Tiny & Big, a game about a magic pair of underpants. Pretty fun considering the premise.

Do I play proper games? Rarely.

You should try I Am Bread

RIP Joystiq

yeah seems like they couldn't match the gawker/kotaku style of hyperbole laced headlines and poorly researched stories that could be cranked out w/o a thought. seems like the js/eg thing is focusing mostly on video/streaming which doesn't really appeal to me as i like to read

For a crazy POV game, you should have played Bad Mojo back in the day. We used to drop micro dots and play this thing:

So, I finally got around to beating the main story of Dragon Age: Inquisition tonight...

The game wasn't bad, and I can't compare it against the rest of the series as I've never played the others but by the end of it I felt it was just kinda alright and starting to get tedious. The main story was interesting, the combat was fun, and the characters for the most part were interesting enough (aside from a couple who annoyed the shit out of me). But i couldn't help but notice near the end that a lot of the game felt like filler. There's SO many fucking fetch quests, particularly "go here and search this vague area for some tiny object" I started getting really sick of those. TBH the only way I finished it was by skipping a lot of the sidequest stuff, there's an entire area I didn't really bother exploring. (Maybe I'm burnt out on RPG's idk). The ending seemed a bit anti-climatic as well, which is probably setting up for DLC but it felt a bit lame.

I didn't kill all the dragons so I'll probably go around and do that, and I'll continue to fuck around in the multiplayer but I can't see myself replaying the campaign anytime soon... In fact the game really just made me want to re-visit Mass Effect as I felt that was a much better experience.

Has anyone played AC: Unity?

I was pretty excited for it, but obviously it got some pretty mediocre reviews, but was is it just because of the bugginess it was poorly received? (I mean that can fixed, and it has have been by now)

Or is it just a mediocre game in general?

I wouldn't bother. I was a massive fan of the franchise but after Brotherhood (yes, I thought Brotherhood was good) I kind of lost my love for it. Revelations was ok, and then I quit.

Anyone picking up Monster Hunter 4? I'm a complete n00b at this franchise, and I'm told it's not too forgiving in its learning curve. Online multiplayer is vastly improved this time, especially on the new 3DS hardware. Party up!
