Good on him, adds character to the village and will look interesting when those trees come to leaf as a contrast to the haphazard bleakness of the building. Even more so when the moss sets in and the vines begin to creep up its sides, if it hasn't collapsed or been torn down by some zealous beaurocrat before then.

In its statement on Monday, the London School of Economics gave no details about Ms. Jolie’s specific teaching duties or how often she would be on campus. It said the new master’s program included courses titled “Women, Peace and Security,” “Gender and Militarization,” and “Gender and Human Rights.” Students will conduct research on preventing sexual violence in conflicts and on women, peace and security.

The other two visiting professors were Jane Connors, an Amnesty International advocacy director; and Madeleine Rees, the secretary general of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom.

Interesting, also that drawing of the guy is great. The BBC mobile site for that article is pretty sweet as well.

GARDEN GROVE, Calif., June 7 (UPI) -- A California high school student expressed his love for one of his favorite video games by bringing it to his prom as his date.

"It was always going to be 'Smash.'" Burwell said. "I'm not, like, a total loser, but I don't know any girls that I would take."

According to Burwell, most of the fellow students and chaperones at the prom appreciated the joke and the experience made his first high school dance one he will remember.

"I had the time of my life. This was my first high school dance — I never did anything like that before," he said. "I think that's very memorable and I don't regret it at all."
